Reflection
During the process of this IFE creation I have learnt many things about both the program and the theory I learnt the importance of design systems as this solo project challenged me in many ways to create unique and specific iconography and stylistic approaches. My core idea mainy was a result of continuous trial and error. My idea stemed from ideas about the IOS interface taking design inspiration from elements of it. For me this approach felt fresh and unique, I my approach to this assessment was mainly to analyze problems with existing which mainly consisted of this idea of too claustrophobic. All the information felt like it was forced into a small space, which is why I wanted to do the opposite and make everything modular and loose. Being able to switch around things you needed and didn’t was my main idea and what guided my design approach. Some things I wish to improve on given more idea was a higher quality video I decided on OBS as my recording software which for previous projects had worked perfectly fine but because this one required me to crop more and zoom more into the frame itself it caused a drop in quality. Aside from that some other things I would have changed were the color palette I had only experimented with a hand full of colors that mainly revolved around a dark mode scheme. I wanted to focus on a light mode theme as well perhaps ditching the purple and black for a green and white theme. I felt that some more importance steps I learnt was how to correctly use and manipulate smart animate in figma this really helped with the creation of my mirco-interactions as previously my lack of knowledge had effected my usage of smart animate. Some other important factors I have learnt were also the importance of mirco-interactions as I now understand why mirco-interactions play such a big part in a interaction design. Mirco interactions help to encourage the usage of something with fast and snappy animations.
