And truth be told, the Autobot CMO was the last thing the Seeker had expected to see wandering on his own in the dusty terrain. Thus, he just had to investigate. Settled in an idle stance, wings held akimbo and audials perked upwards, Warpstorm blinked before allowing a slow, toothy grin to settle on faceplate.

No one else had been available for this particular mission - a simple energon recovery, and the Autobots desperately needed energon - and so Ratchet had gone himself. It wasn’t often that he left the base, true, but he did know how to fend for himself.

Waving servos in a ‘calm down’ gesture towards the orange and white ambulance, the digitigrade jet lets out a faint purr of amusement at the mention of fighting. If he were here to fight, they wouldn’t be standing here and conversing with each other. Fire first, speak later was normally the rule of meeting. But yet, he was bored and off the radar. He could do as he pleased, and what better than teasing an autobot and making them baffled about lax naure?

That was not the response that the CMO had been expecting from the Decepticon. There had to be a catch, some sort of larger scheme at play, here. Why would a known Decepticon wish to help an Autobot medic? Wasn’t it in the Decepticon’s best interests for the Autobots to not receive this much-needed supply?

“Shhh…quiet… quiet. There’s an ear and an eye for every whisper you say.” she motioned for him to kneel down next to her. “Listen to me. Some of us are still out there. Epps and his crew. On and off I talk to him. Lately there has been a lot of activity. I had no idea who all has still survived. Some swear that…” she paused for a moment, looking absolutely distort by something.

He wasn’t fully listening, still uncertain that he wouldn’t have to get up and run, until the young woman mentioned Ironhide and Bumblebee. Optics widening, he snapped his head to face her more directly. “Ironhide is dead.”

The seeker’s optics trailed over the autobot’s form for only a moment before darting away to obsessively scan the horizon. Where there was one autobot, more were usually not far behind, and while Starscream did not think the chartreuse medic much of a threat, he was not willing to end up on the receiving end of an ambush for the sake of a few barbed remarks. It was only when the seeker was satisfied that no one else was going to spring from the shadows, that he returned his decidedly irritated gaze to the medic.

Looking down at himself for a brief moment, he considered how it was that he’d come to return, after his incident with Lockdown. He had been killed. He remembered standing on the edge of the AllSpark, and being pulled back, slowly, by some as-of-then unknown force. He’d awakened, but he was different.

“If I was not used to your kind, I might have already looked the other way.” she told him and ushered the mech further back into the darkness “Go, get back, out of the light”

N.E.S.T.? Some of them survived? Primus, he’d assumed they’d been added to the same hitlist he’d been put on for their connections to him and his kind.
