Typically, Amycus was not a fan of interference - people needed to stay out of his business no matter where he was conducting it. Unfortunately, though, for Amycus, he had very rarely gotten his way on that matter, people were always in his business, always telling what he needed to do or not do, and, predictably, that had really only increased as heâd assumed his fatherâs seat on the court. So as he turned to look at Ivy, blinking at her as he tried to bring himself back into the present moment that she and the crowd around them were currently a part of, he was confused at first. He knew her, but didnât, and that was the case so often for Amycus that it provided the perfect distraction. âYouâre probably right,â he said, nodding. He didnât look down to verify, eyes falling instead on the offered handkerchief, and he hesitated. It was kind, but heâd ruin it, he was sure. He fished a wand out of his pocket, cast a quick and silent cleansing charm to rid himself of the mess, and then gave her as kind a smile as he could mange as he tucked the wand away once more. His temper blown over now, the blond had all but forgotten his scuffle. âThings get a little out of hand on this side of town from time to time.â
There was a brief moment of fear that struck Ivy. Sometimes people who were caught in their moment of rage didnât see reason or didnât see clearly and anyone was an enemy in that moment. She had learned that with her father. It was something that was rarely spoken at the Monroe household but she remembers clearly the pain from being hit right across the face. Itâs as if sheâs bracing herself for impact. Her shoulders were tense and she was gripping onto the strap of her bag tightly but then that eased up when he finally spoke up. There was so much blood but it didnât bother Ivy. She wasnât very squeamish to begin with. She pulled back her handkerchief and put it away when he didnât take it. âI know. Itâs not my first run in with one.â She said as she looked around as the people behind him gathered the other man. âSorry about that. I know itâs not my place but I tend to react and not think.âÂ
