reality is a dream

I'm like a human but without

Guts

And without

Spine

And wholly

Boneless.

So I guess I'm like a gelatinous blob of

Skin

And

Muscle

And

Fat.

Only I'm not strong and I'm quite self-starved, so I guess I'm just

Skin

And

Brain

And

Heart.

But I'm not very smart and my heart murmurs to me

Always complaining

Beating irregularly

Too much

Not enough

Never satisfied

Never happy

And really I'd rather do without the damn thing. So I guess I'm just

Skin.

If they flayed me alive would they find anything underneath?

If they flay you, they're probably not looking for it

but that's what I see.

Guts

Spine

Bones

Muscle

Fat

And your brain is tired

And your heart is sore

And your skin is delicate

Well.

see me as a friend.
