Ok, so for some reason I felt compelled to make an intro post.

Haiii! My name is Willa (yes that is my legal name) and I am a girl living in a state. I make stupid short stories about some characters I made up. I am Pansexual, Aroace, and a demigirl.

I'm 15, I go to a school somewhere, and I have some friends. I really pride myself on being friendly and getting to be close friends with people.

I really like anime. Like, a lot. Like SO FUCKING MUCH. i also love video games too, all kinds! Just not as much as anime.

My headmate/ alter ego (not sure if I wanna commit to having a headmate yet) is Jasmine. I gave her her own intro post, go find it. I will sometimes reply to stuff as Jaz and i will be sure to mark it when I do. Feel free to ask stuff about her any time! (She is a minor, so please keep it civil).

Genuinely, why is he using a medium I love to spread this hatred around (he is a Christian podcaster who also talks about anime, in case that wasn't clear).

So I used Raid to kill a wasp, but now my parents are mad at me cause to them, Raid likes brings cancer to the whole family or some shit. I didn't even spray that much, and yet they're acting like I placed a curse on us or something. They claimed that the smell was "so strong" (I couldn't smell jack) and they opened all the windows and doors. Yes guys, let's fix the problem by inviting MORE wasps in and banning what can effectively kill them! Logik, according to them.

Also I looked up cons to using Raid indoors and the only possibly concerning ones were chemical exposure and poor air quality. Our vents work fine and were recently cleaned, and the chemical one only applies if you're exposed to it for long periods of time and used a lot of it; 2 things I didn't do.

I planned a day trip to Denton with my family to explore, go to as bookstore, get some ice cream, and tour the college. But my fuckass dad canceled all that because apparently there's a Pride parade there or something. He quite literally said "they celebrate a different life choice that our religion doesn't agree with (bold of him to say 'our', since I officially rejected it months ago) and I don't want you siblings to be exposed to it". Fucking grow up, they're not gonna turn gay because they saw rainbows.

This is why I'm going to dedicate my Insta after I leave for college about my LBGTQ+ experiences to rub it in their faces and just never visit them again. I'm also not planning on officially coming out to them, because I don't want to be 'tolerated', i want to be accepted and supported. And not just because I'm their daughter, but because of me being my true self.

My job leader just sent a text that basically stated that we will not be covering a chapter in a book we're reading as a class because (and I quote) "Tackles romantic and gender dynamics that I don't know if they are what we really want the kids to be thinking about".

(Here is the book, I tried sending a screenshot but it crushed the quality so much that it was basically unreadable. Also Google didn't have any pictures of the chapter, which is 20).

TLDR of chapter: Mack is lamenting to Louie about how his girlfriend hasn't talked to him in 2 days cause she needs space and he thought that all girls wanted was attention. Louie then recalls a time where a foreign student was so clingy to him that he told his mom and requested the school to have her hang around other people.

On one hand, I can see how it might give the boys in the class a bad idea of how smothering a girl with attention isn't what she wants, but Mack learns a lesson at the end from Louie that he needs to leave her alone and she'll some back. Again, I can see how this makes it seem like women are bound to the men only and how my boss could see this as a "she'll come crawling back" mindset and cut it. But that's the most extreme takeaway and also, Mack learns a good lesson at the end! The kids could take that away instead of reading too much into it.

Also there's a quote in the book that goes: "Louie had never thought about what girls wanted or what boys wanted or if there was a difference or if it depended on the person". We deadass might've cut this chapter cause it mentioned for 0.02 seconds that Louie *might* have a thing for boys. By the way, LOUIE IS 10. I don't know any 10 year old boys concerned about who they like, and I certainly don't know any 10 year old boy in real life that's going to be gay based off this one statement. I was going to make a post about how we're having a whole ass Prof. Isbell Bible class as our devotional instead of something like a simple prayer to start the day. This takes time off of preparing for the classes and the assembly skit and the craft and game organizations, but it's no use complaining atp.

when did we as a society decide that kids were super dumb and can't process stuff like gender and romance? This is something that I've been wanting to rant about for a LONG time, but i'll keep my anger brief. I HATE when parents and above all, ACTUAL TEACHERS, just brush kids off and simply *not explain stuff* because they think that "they can't handle it" or "it's too adult". Kids are not going to care whether someone likes the same sex or not and kids are not going to care whether two people have romantic problems. Kids biggest priorities are gaming and hanging out with friends, be so for real. Like, it's one thing to overload a 4 year old's brain with all the complexities anatomically of sex, but we can certainly afford to explain to some 10 year old's "Hey this kid is having problems with his girlfriend". Kids are not dumb, they can handle information because sooner or later, they will have to. Better teach them now so they can be equipped for if it happens to them later in life. Sex and gender and sexuality problems are only "adult" problems because we said so. We need to stop gatekeeping normal human things like this from our kids because that's how confused queer teens and pregnant teens come to be: because we don't explain and we push it off because we say it's an "adult problem". Do you really think that if we simply taught these things at a grade-appropriate level of understanding that the world will explode or something? NO! Honesty is the best policy, but I think everybody forgot that.

While my family is having their Family Movie Night watching Star Wars, I'm in my room watching my fucking *omegaverse*.

Yeah I'm experimenting with gif titles don't mind me. Anyway, my first job training day was today, YIPPEEE! It was pretty fun, i got to know some really nice people, but there was one part... oh, boy this ONE part... it made me want to jump out of my seat and strangle the teacher.
