Notes: *spoilers* It starts out fine enough. Taeui ignores all the red flags about Ilay(a well known psycho/loose cannon in UNHRDO) and stupidly gets closer despite warnings from everyone including his uncle. That's all typical romance trope stuff.
But as it progresses it really can't be called a romance. While you think it's possible at first since Ilay is showing favoritism towards Taeui. Ilay's "kindness" doesn't ever extend past basic human decency if even that. As it continues on it it's just drama and smut.
Xinlu is just .... Uh. Does he need to move there? And what's with him turning creepy all of a sudden? He was gonna SA Tay! Tay was just strong enough to knock him out! And then Tay has the audacity to be all "I still like him even though he acts two faced, tried to SA him, and goes behind Tay's back SLEEPING WITH ILAY over a dumb misunderstanding.
It's this way until the arc where Taeui must become assistant instructor for Ilay who gets transferred in as an instructor Then the whole thing is just SA and creepy MLs. It's to the point where it feels unredeemable as a romance.
That and the background with Taeui being a gilsangcheon for his twin brother feels totally unnecessary. Throughout the story Taeui's brother (who never actually appears) is just used as juxtaposition for how ordinary Taeui(Tay) is and some petty plot progression. If Tay wasn't a twin the story would be largely the same. It may change in the future though.
