Ghosts of Geonosis

When the team goes into the cave and they see all the helmets of Saw’s team members.

Jabba, speaking on Ezra’s behalf: “I don’t know what to do with all these helmets! Does anyone have a basket!?”

While Saw is bullying Klick Klack. “Saw is so mean!”

Saw continuing to demand answers from Klick Klack. “Like, I don’t know what Saw wants. For it to suddenly speak English!?”

Saw: “Klick Klack belongs here, on Geonosis.”

Jabba: “Uh, yeah? Of course he belongs on his own damn planet!”

Hera, as they’re escaping the shaft: “I’m not getting buried down here!”

Jabba: “Yaaaas, Hera!”

Trials of the Darksaber

Sabine holds the Darksaber for the first time. “Let’s go, SaBINE!”

Rau arrives at the campsite on a speeder bike with a box. “Oh look, pizza delivery.”

Sabine walks away, angry and frustrated with Kanan. She sits down. 

Jabba: “I was half-expecting Sabine to accidentally sit on Bendu.”

After Sabine and Ezra discuss things, Sabine walks away, and we see that she was sitting on Bendu.

“I fucking knew it!”

Hera: “Give her the sword. Let her own it and who she is. Help Sabine face her demons.”

Kanan: “I don’t know…”

Hera: “I know you don’t. But this isn’t about you.”

Jabba: “PREACH, Hera!”

Ursa to Kanan: “You think you know my daughter better than me?”

Jabba: “Well, he has been raising her for, like, the last four years, so…. yeah.”

Gar Saxon asks Tristan to chose loyalty or family. Tristan points his blaster at Sabine.

Jabba: “What!? How dare you, you little brat! How could you…!?”

Tristan turns. “I chose family.”

Jabba: “Oh. Okay.”

Kanan: “Are your customs more important than your daughter?”

Ursa looks uncertain.

Jabba: “Why does she have to think about it!?

*kanan takes a drag from a cigarette*

Ezra: *shoots off the gun into the air*

Sabine: *falls off the couch*

Sabine: THIS IS WHY HERA DOESN’T F***ING LOVE YOU!

I brought up on another site that this was obviously a mistake, and the Emperor would really regret underestimating Kanan. It’s a mistake that costs him everything. Then someone asked me if it really did. Yes, it did. 

I agree with Thrawn that the Tie Defender program was a much better investment for the Empire. Even with Luke Skywalker, the mass production of Tie Defenders would have been devastating to the Rebellion. Perhaps even ending it before it really started.

The Death Star and the Tie Defender program were the two large military investments, and Kanan’s sacrifice crippled the latter. (And I do think Kanan purposefully told Hera to aim for the Fuel Depot as they were gliding away, knowing he wasn’t going to survive the night).

Then there’s the fact that his will (via Dume) directed Ezra to the Jedi Temple, thwarting all of Palpatine’s plans for controlling all of time and space.

Then Kanan’s sacrifice served as a final lesson for Ezra. A lesson that he uses in that final battle against Thrawn. He takes Thrawn and the 7th fleet out of the picture for the remainder of the war. Considering the Grand Admiral was basically on the same level as Darth Vader in terms of usefulness to the Empire, this is also a devastating blow to Palpatine. Ezra did this following Kanan’s example.

Kylo Ren turned to the dark side after he was somewhat manipulated by Snoke and Luke almost killed him, but chose not to.

Ezra Bridger: probably watched his parents get arrested, lived on the streets for seven years (and probably experienced things a kid’s show can’t talk about), got four different dark siders trying to manipulate him (Grand Inquisitor, Seventh Sister, Maul, Palpatine), was briefly tempted by a SITH HOLICRON, blamed himself for his master’s blinding, fought said possessed master, watched Kanan die on three different occasions (the person he had the closest connection to), and faced down the woman responsible for his death. (I could list more). And Ezra never permanently and completely turned.

Kanan Jarrus burns up at the depot.

Ezra: NOOOOOOOOOOO!

But like comes back as a Force-Ghost.

Ghost Kanan: Ezra, I’ll always be there with you!

Ezra: Yes! You’re always be there in memory, in spirit. I’ll never forget you. Thank you disembodied voice of Kanan. Now to move forward.

Ghost Kanan: No, literally, I’ll be there in spirit. I’ll still hang around the Ghost and like teach you life lessons.

Ezra: ARRRGH! Kanan, you’re all blue and transparenty! 

Ghost Kanan: Yeah, I’m dead in body, but alive in spirit. So do not mourn for me.

Ezra: Nooooooo! You’re still dead and died a painful death. So I’m still in mourning. 

Ghost Kanan: That is correct. That death still very much sucked. You know what, keep mourning for my body.

Hera: (Spitting out caf)

Ghost Kanan: I’m fine, luv. My physical body just died and all. Though I have the power of the Force to recreate its shape in ghostly form.

Hera breaks down crying.

Ghost Kanan: Hera, we’ll figure out our love life. I promise.

Ghost Kanan playing sabbac with Zeb and Kallus. He uses the Force to levitate the cards.

Alexsandr Kallus: Zeb, this is awkward, having this dead Jedi hang around us.

Ghost Kanan:: I’m not dead! Just dead in body!

Alexsandr Kallus: Why you keep your eyes shut? Don’t you get your vision back in the afterlife?

Ghost Kanan:: For some reason, I’m more comfortable that way, more in tune with the Force

Ghost Kanan: Booga-booga!

Stormtroopers dropping their weapons and and fleeing in fear waving their arms in the air.

Noises around the Ghost walls: OH, OH, OHHHHHHH.

Ezra: (In his room) Don’t tell me… Oh no…

Zeb: Damn lovebirds figured out how to mate again.

Hera: Gee, Kanan, I didn’t think I’ll find ghost sex pretty effective.

–

Hera: Also, I’m pregnant…

Ghost Kanan:: Wooooooah, okay, how? Ghost sex can’t-

Hera: It was before you died, or your physical body died.

–

Jacen: HAHHAHAHA!

Ghost Kanan: (disappearing) Where’s daddy? (reappears) Boo! (disappears) Where’s daddy? (reappears) BOO!

Jacen: HAHHAHAHA…

Jacen: (Reading a report in front of the class) My daddy is dead in the physical body, but with the Force, he broke free from the tethers of the physical body and remained here in the plane of the living Force. My daddy is dead and a big inspiration. Anyone have questions for him?
