YOUR CALLING WILL CRUSH YOU BEFORE IT ANOINTS YOU
The pressure is not punishment, It is preparation.
If you’re called to mend the brokenhearted, you’re going to wrestle with broken-heartedness.
If you’re called to prophesy, you’re going to struggle to control your mouth.
If you’re called to lay hands, you will battle spiritual viruses.
If you are called to preach and to teach the gospel, you will be sifted for the wisdom that anoints your message.
If you are called to empower, your self-esteem will be attacked, your successes will be hard fought.
Your calling will come with cups, thorns and sifting that are necessary for your mantle to be authentic, humble and powerful.
Your crushing won’t be easy because your assignment is not easy.
Your oil is not cheap.
Oil does not come without pressure.
Authority does not come without surrender.
Fruit does not come without dying to self.
“Think of yourself as dead. You have lived your life. Now take what’s left and live it properly.”
~ Marcus Aurelius
Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not for long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that once we shared Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone. It's all part of the master plan A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart Go the friends we know. Laugh at all the things we used to do Miss me, but let me go. When I am dead my dearest Sing no sad songs for me Plant thou no roses at my head Nor shady cypress tree Be the green grass above me With showers and dewdrops wet And if thou wilt remember And if thou wilt, forget. I shall not see the shadows, I shall not fear the rain; I shall not hear the nightingale Sing on as if in pain; And dreaming through the twilight That doth not rise nor set, Haply I may remember, And haply may forget.
~ Christina Georgina Rossetti

Is it an act of grace to accept fate and slowly fade away without a fight, or does the universe want to test our resolve and see just how far we are willing to go to obtain, and more importantly perhaps to keep, the object of our desires?
Never mock a brother to entertain the table
Some chapters don’t reopen… no matter how much you miss them. You can go back to the same place. Walk the same roads. Stand where it all used to feel right. But it won’t feel the same. Not because the place changed… but because you did. The people you laughed with aren’t there anymore. The version of you that lived those moments is gone too.
That’s the part no one talks about. You’re not just missing the past…you’re missing who you were in it. And no matter how many times you revisit it, you can’t step into the same moment twice.
So don’t get stuck trying to relive something that already served its purpose. Respect it. Learn from it. Then have the courage to move forward… even when it’s uncomfortable.
Because life isn’t waiting for you to catch up to what’s gone.
To willingly trade your own years so that others may have theirs is the absolute pinnacle of masculinity. It is a quiet, stoic "Yes" to a burden that modernity desperately tries to shirk. You don't live forever by clinging to safety; you live forever through the legacy of the people you protected.
We often want purpose without process,
and calling without conditioning.
But in God’s design, purpose is never sudden.
It is shaped through preparation.
Before He places us anywhere,
He first forms us into what we need to become.
And the way He did it in creation is the same way
He is still doing it in us.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
At first, everything was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep. Nothing was structured yet. But even that darkness was not wasted, it became the starting point where God began shaping order.
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and light appeared.
God separated the light from the darkness, showing the beginning of structure and rhythm.
Day and night, time and order.
After this, God created the sky, separating the waters above from the waters below. This space was important because it prepared the stage where the sun, moon, and stars would later be placed to govern time, seasons, and direction.
Next, God gathered the waters under the sky so that dry land could appear. The earth was no longer covered completely by water. This land became the foundation where life would be established and sustained.
Once the land was ready, God caused it to produce vegetation—plants, trees, and fruit. This was not only beauty, but preparation. The plants would later become food for animals and humans, and they would also help sustain life on the earth.
After the earth was filled with plants and was fully prepared, God created living creatures in the waters and in the sky. The seas were filled with fish, and the skies were filled with birds. Each was placed in an environment already designed for them to thrive.
Then God created land animals of every kind. By this time, the earth was fully equipped. There was food from plants, space to live, and balance in the created order for all living things.
Finally, when everything was perfectly prepared, God created human beings in His own image—male and female.
He placed them in the center of a fully ordered world and gave them responsibility to rule over it, care for it, and steward all that He had made.
When God finished His work, He looked at everything He had created, and it was very good. Nothing was random or rushed, each step was intentional, where every part of creation prepared the way for the next, until everything was complete and ready for life.
Nothing was random.
Nothing was missing.
Nothing was rushed.
And this is where it turns toward us.
Because the same pattern in creation is the same pattern in our lives.
We are not created to receive purpose immediately without preparation.
We are not placed into calling without being formed first.
So when our lives feel slow, unclear, or uncomfortable, we need to understand something important:
It is not always delay.
It is not always rejection.
It is not always absence of purpose.
Sometimes, it is 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬.
When we go through seasons of waiting,
God may be building our foundation
so we can stand when the time comes.
When we face uncertainty,
He may be teaching us trust before direction is revealed.
When we experience failure,
He may be shaping humility and wisdom we will need later.
When we go through pain,
He may be strengthening what will carry greater responsibility.
Because before God gives us purpose, He first works on us.
And this means our lives are not wasted seasons.
We are not forgotten.
We are not misplaced.
We are not behind.
We are being formed.
Just like creation, where everything was prepared before it was placed, God is also preparing us before He positions us.
And even when we cannot see it yet,
our lives are still in His hands,
being shaped with intention, direction, and care.
Because in God’s order,
𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
And we are not outside of that process,
we are right in the middle of it.

During the 25-35 bracket, you'll notice this:
Some friends are married to their soulmates. Others are quietly googling "how to file for divorce."
Some are hitting a 5 AM personal best in the gym. Others are battling burnout and anxiety.
Some are meditating, reading, and healing. Others are escaping reality with cheap dopamine.
This decade is messy. It's brutal. It's beautiful. There is no rulebook. There is no "perfect" pace.
Move at your own speed. Your timeline isn't broken - it's yours.

Judge; but with the right judgment!
"Judge with righteous judgment" - John 7:24
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
