“Are you sure he’s not just gloating?” Courtney asked, shuddering dramatically as she imagined the froggy chaos that she was sure her brother’s dorm room had become. “I can’t think of any other reason why he’d tell you to send his apologies through to me when he’ll more than likely see Blake sooner than I will. Especially with his…pet still in Blake’s dorm.”
“Valid,” Ginger agreed with a nod. “Speaking of gloating, my short story made it into the campus magazine – read it if you get a chance, I think it’s pretty good. But like, no pressure.” She wouldn’t put it past Courtney to have people to read for her or something, but hoped the girl might be interested.
“You got a short story in the campus magazine? How precious!” Courtney cooed happily for Ginger before pulling her phone out of her back pocket, sure she wasn’t technically supposed to have it out on the clock, but what were stupid rules to a Gripling? “Now do they have an online version or is it one of those totally outdated publications that hasn’t realized that print media is dead yet?” She asked as if she wasn’t already in the search bar looking for the name of the magazine and would probably find it out in the same amount of time it would take Ginger to tell her herself. “Oh or better question, what’s the story about anyway? Is it about me?”
