February
In February I had a lot of school connected work. Completing my CAS activities helped me to relax and get my mind off of the things I had to do. It was a bit hard for me to find motivation as I was tired of all schoolwork. However, when I did the activities, I felt better, and my stress was less noticeable. I observed that especially during horse riding it is important not to let the stress affect your actions. Living animals, which are sensitive and can sense our emotions can reflect how we feel. It is crucial to keep emotions at bay in order not to affect innocent animals. Same can be applied to tutoring. My friend, who I tutor knows me well. She can sense how I feel, which sometimes decreased our productivity. In February I learned not to lest stress affect my life and to manage it.
October
October brought on even more work, especially academically connected. I felt very tired and I didn’t have much energy. However, after every dancing session or ride I felt a lot better than before and a little more motivated to do my assignments. During those activities I focused on relaxing and forgetting about all the schoolwork, and it worked very well. Tutoring my friend went on as usual, we tried to schedule regular meetings and to be as productive as possible.
SUMMER REFLECTIONS
For my creativity during the summer break, I continued to dance. It was really fun to do, especially when the weather was warm. I even tried to do it outside in my backyard. It was a really nice feeling to be surrounded by the nature and dance. Throughout the summer I chose music and choreography that was very energetic and fun to do. It connected to my mood the whole summer and helped to gain positive energy.
For activity I did horse riding as before. Once again, the summer weather made everything a 100% better. The best rides were the sunset ones. It was a great experience to work with a horse in such beautiful surroundings. Of course, it wasn’t all perfect I’ve fallen of one time. I was supposed to do the exercise, but after coming out of a tight turn I didn’t realise that the girl was riding in front of me. My horse got scared and made a 180 degree turn before I could react. It was a soft fall, nothing dangerous, but a remainder to always be on guard.
For the service I kept tutoring my friend in English. We summarized the material from the whole year, later on moving to practicing a practical use of English. We were translating fragments of movies or different speeches on the internet to get used to spoken language. Lastly, we started with easier idiomatic expressions as they may often be confusing. Despite the vacation we still managed to fit in the lessons and were consistent with it.
