This is my title. There are many like it but this one is mine

Not even joking, back in like 1985 or so, I had to do this to a stereo system in our living room.

My parents decided to put a stereo in, and we went to the store and got a nice Harmon Kardon receiver and cd player. I was always good with technical stuff, so set the whole system up.

When you turned the receiver on, it took a few moments for it to get going and "pop" on. Meaning, no sound until it was done. This was basically the unit as far as I can tell:

The speakers were connected to System 1, the knobs were all adjusted appropriately, etc.

My parents couldn't comprehend the fact that it takes a little bit for it to warm up or whatever the fuck it was doing, and would just start hitting buttons and turning knobs, fucking it up beyond belief.

I finally got sick of it and put scotch tape over everything they weren't allowed to touch. Basically, everything except the power button, the button the CD player was connected to, the AM and FM buttons, and the volume and station knobs.

They (well, my mother at least) would be all like, to their friends, "He thinks we're stupid and taped up everything so we can't use them," and I was like "YOU ARE FUCKING STUPID HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU...." 🤣

They thought he looked great; his weight was perfect, they want us to continue giving him his Prilosec and very low dose of prednisone, and we're going to back 1/4 of a cup of food out of his dinner (still 3 cups a day: 1 each for three meals).

We had them check his nails and trim where needed, also they trimmed the fur from his "grinch toes" 🤣 And they did his glands. We've noticed a couple of boot scoots recently and he needed them done.

Otherwise, all good! We'll bring him back for snip-a-roo later in the year (probably November or December)

When they took him out back for nails and glands, we could hear the other techs back there saying hi to him, and apparently one was like "Uh oh, why's he here now??" and there was a laugh and a "Just routine check up!"

Her oldest (28) just texted my wife a picture of her 13-week sonogram. We're so happy for her! I'm too young to be a granduncle, but whatevah... 🤣 I mean, I'm 57 but still 21 in my head.

My wife read them in about the condo/resort a few weeks ago so they had a bunch of questions and wanted to hear all about it, etc. They were totally cool about it. I doubt they'll ever come down, but the offer is there, even if they want to just come down one weekend night and hang out in the club.

The gals may have split a THC infused drink and were feeling quite fine 🤣
