i’ve had my heart shattered. the kind of shattered that leaves you on the cold bathroom floor at 3am, that makes you cry until you can’t breathe, that reminds you of her everywhere you go, that keeps the sad songs on repeat, that makes you wonder how you’ll live with it. and every time i’ve thought maybe no one will ever love me like i love them. but for some reason, i still believe in love. i believe i’ll find someone someday who will be in love with me too. i’ll be able to kiss my best friend and make plans for the future with them. we’ll fall asleep in each other’s arms and laugh until our stomachs hurt. we’ll bicker and be stupid together. we’ll slow dance to our playlist and cook dinner together and go on trips to see the world. and it’ll all have been worth it knowing i can look into those eyes and feel loved.
