Ryan had been a complete mess for the past thirty-six hours. He was missing classes, not eating, he hadn’t done anything but drink and get high, only leaving the safety of his bed when he absolutely needed to, for bathroom breaks. Ryan was trying to drown out the pain and anger in anyway possible, and nothing seemed to be working. He heard his phone across the room and groaned, he really didn’t want anything to do with anyone, but his phone had been blowing up. He gave in and glanced at the caller, he saw your muse’s name on the screen and shook his head tossing his phone to the side. He held his head in his hands pulling at the curly hair that was tied back into a small bun, feeling the tears coming again. “Just let go” he whispered to himself, “Just fucking let go” he said again this time with anger and poison in his tone, he chuckled dryly before letting go of his hair. He groaned and dropped back down so he was staring at the ceiling once more.
After Aaron’s evening class let out he decided we should stop by Ryan’s since his place was on the way to Aaron’s apartment and he hadn’t hung out with the boy in a while. He picked up a pack of beer from the convenience store near by before heading over to Ryan’s house. He shot him a text before arriving to the place, expecting Ryan to reply before he got there but that wasn’t the case. He knocked on the front door and waited for a moment before speaking up, “Hey, I can practically hear you breathing in there. Let me in.” Aaron said, as he awkwardly glanced around, thinking of something else to say. “If you let me in, I’ll share my beer.” he added, hoping that Ryan was actually inside and that he wasn’t just talking to air.
