Hey Ioun! So, Leiris has probably been recaptured by now! Assumedly. You know she’s more than likely going to be tortured much worse than before for her brief moment of freedom from your maker’s clutches. Are you going to take Pearl’s words to heart this time and do what real sisters should do for each other, like Pearl did for Coral? Or are you just going to sit back and let your sister suffer unbearable pain while you do nothing to help her, knowing her agony, again?
Also how’ve you liked your fav blorbo’s (Elle’s) character development so far? Cool right? You know she’s wants you dead right? Just like your sister does. Do you think she’s justified? You think both of them are? Why is it that you always go halfway when it comes to helping your believers and making their lives better? Why are your actions always so unremarkable, and so disappointing to those who desperately need you? It’s your responsibility to make them happy, to protect them. You are their leader, after all.
Maybe there’s someone out there who could understand you, who also bears the weight of a nation, but what would he think of you if he figured out that you knew? That you knew everything and did nothing?
Do the right thing. Do right by them. You must, for this responsibility is yours alone, only your burden to carry on your shoulders, for only you have this power, and this pride must suffer pain.
Of course I know that she’s been captured! And that’s worked out great for me! Better than I’ve anticipated!
I was a soooo worried that I was going to ruin big sister’s chance to free herself! I didn’t want to disappoint Pearl, and didn’t want her to think less of me, but I knew freeing her was going to make big sister mad at me!
But now she’s captured again! So this time she gets to free herslef without me interfreing!
So everyone gets what they want! I couldn’t be happier.
As for everything else…. It seems like you’re really towing the lines between asking me questions and just getting mad at me for doing things? Or are you more mad at me for not doing things? It’s hard to say.
I wonder, would any answer actually satisfy you? Would any story about some greater goal that this is all necessary for vindicate me in your eyes? Would you even believe me if I gave you a reason? Would claiming that there’s no rhyme or reason, that this is all being done for purely selfish and impulsive reasons, make you feel better? Give you an easier villain to hate?
I’ve gotten very good at that, you know. As the goddess of all things, I can play whatever role you want. So if you’d like me to be the omnipotent overpowered villain that you heroes must find a way to outwit and overcome, I can do that for you. Playing the villain can be fun sometimes. I love the drama of it all.
But it does get boring after a while.
Ralph wouldn’t understand any of it. What would even be there to understand? There’s no weight bearing down on me. No despair in my heart. He won’t be able to help me. Not in the way I need help.
Demanding that I do the right thing? Isn’t it usually deities that define what is right and wrong? Good and evil?Isn’t that what makes us so important?
By that logic, doesn’t that make everything I do the right thing?
I don’t believe that. That’s just one of many possible opinions, and as the goddess of all things, I have to represent them all.
After all, there’s no right way to interpret me
I guess that means I can’t do anything right?
That’s probably what you think, isn’t it?
Maybe that’s the only thing you’re right about.
