she’ll casually slide in  between his back and the wall, his height and body mass far more than enough to provide a hiding spot from the shady business deal-- surprisingly not her fault, even more so she managed to be on the winning end of a con (even if it meant the man was more than furious, she now had some spending money).

it’s all fine until her hiding spot goes to lean back and she finds herself with a mouthful of  brick.

       ❛      sure, we’ll go with that.      ❜      she shouldn’t know, she couldn’t know. this girl couldn’t know where blake had come from, where she had run from. team rocket, the villains, the thieves. it wasn’t want blake wanted to be. ( even if she had gotten good, very good at her job. )       ❛     thanks.      ❜    her voice was quiet as she reached for the potion, letting her fingers wrap around the bottle before using it to spray on her umbreon ( oh how she remembered how easy it was to swindle things like this would of markets and other trainers, how she beat them up for their pokemon. never again, never. )       

          ❛        let me pay you back somehow, with, uh, lunch or something.       ❜         with all twenty dollars in her pocket. she’d make some more, elsewhere.

          an eyebrow cants-- go with that? guess we will. she doesn’t question it, shoving her hands deep into her pockets. it had nothing to do with her, so she couldn’t say she cared. but she did care about pokémon, and enough so not to let it go injured.

“Not really! All the fish here are so common, they’re really nothing special.” Well, maybe that wasn’t the right wording. All fish are special, in their own way. She wonders, briefly, if they’ve heard her.

“Did you know there’s a shark that’s around 15 meters? I met - ah, I heard it wasn’t far from the Marianas Trench!”

hopefully it stays in the marianas trench-- along with any other kind of ugly and nightmare-inducing fish. cherry was for more terrified of the day those demon fish evolved to walk on land than any other kind of apocalypse.

unable to park this thrill, or even go into neutral. shock alone fuels the spirit. tiny hands fervently coiled into fists at such revelation. a rallying pichu mimics his trainers` every eccentric move alongside.

I’m going         to try my best you know! so I can earn         my own. I just.. kin’da.. wan’na see what         they look like! ❜

cherry can’t help but find the whole ordeal entertaining; she would, of course, give the girl the benefit of believing in her boasting, if only for a more interesting competition, but the animated movements gained from her teasing only made her even more fascinating./
