Just straight talk, my friends — no judgements, no BS! Our actions determine our destiny — yes, our actions today determine the course of CoViD19 infection rate tomorrow. Prevention of transmission/infection, ie, through staying home, physical distancing and other strategies (= “flattening the curve”), is everyone’s responsibility. People are dying and more will continue encounter untimely deaths just for one irresponsible idiot. This pandemic is an unprecedented PUBLIC health tragedy that is getting closer and closer to everyone’s household every single day. At this very moment, my thoughts and hopes go to everyone suffering from this pandemic all over the world and if you may join me in prayers, to a dear friend who’s battling CoViD on a ventilator in Upstate NY. My wife’s close colleague/friend at work succumbed to CoViD last night. I’m physically present but “distant” to listen and give tight warm hugs. I can’t even get near her in the comforts our very own home to console her in this very difficult situation. I just texted her to go through her grief in prayers until she sleeps into it as she still has to report work — you see, she has to be at the labor and delivery room for the mothers having natural and emergency childbirths. At home, we’re structuring all necessary precautions that we know of and read about as she’s constantly exposed in the hospital. Again, this is PUBLIC heath catastrophe that requires the full cooperation of the very same PUBLIC, yes, every citizen of every community/country. Enough with all the political banters/undertones and premature heroics/rituals/symbolisms that further complicate and expose people to the invisible contagion. Just stay the fuck home and put your activities together. Take long showers and sleep. When available, try to eat healthy. Forget about the future of the economy — we will all survive as long as our lungs are intact to exchange air supply that our body’s demands. Let the essential workers and front-liners do their jobs. The government will not get a clear and accurate data if people are not following simple and basic social safety and distancing protocols.
