My take is Kevin can coat his penis in a layer of rubber or chosen material. However, if he made his dick into the material, it would probably still have the urethra. So not useful as protection.

So first I'm running with the idea from @omniadventerous for aquatic Osmosians.

So say if he had a tail, horns or non humanoid genitalia those would all have been 'fixed' in infancy.
