Seeking beta readers for Irontouched!
Hello! I’ve read and re-read my work-in-progress novel (?) Irontouched so many times I believe I’ve reached a point where it needs fresh eyes, so I am looking for beta readers!
Ruari is princess of Fiermont, one of the remaining fragments of the fae empire established by her ancestors after humanity had fled the land they so completely destroyed. In the years since her people rose, however, they have been losing their magic - and falling ill to the iron ruins left behind.
Until Ruari finds her own power, one her people have never known, and begins to wonder.
Irontouched is a fantasy story - perhaps a series one day - loosely inspired by fae mythology, with some romance. The main character, Ruari, is plus-sized and pansexual, and follows her coming-of-age. You can read the first chapter here!Â
Length:Â 111k words, 42 chapters - longer than the Hobbit, shorter than Fellowship of the Ring.
Intended reading rate: Roughly a chapter a week, but I am not in any particular rush, I would like readers to read at a pace comfortable to them.Â
Looking for: 10 - 20 readers of fantasy fiction to give detailed feedback! 18+ would be preferable as there are some violent scenes. I have a questionaire I would like to send at the end, but for now I am just interested in your comments throughout the reading experience.Â
