          It was insane. He’d hardly had any time to think about such a trip and he hadn’t even packed. He could buy clothes when they landed, he decided. Best not to tell his family — they would only try to stop him. Robb felt a sudden rush of excitement. There was a certain thrill to doing “bad” things, and he could certainly see why it appealed to Theon. Outside, the sky had darkened considerably, and he had only just noticed the quick streams of water that had began to catapult from the starless atmosphere.

     Laughter had been the first response to Robb’s demands. As long as Theon had known the other, he’d never been incredibly rebellious---always one to stay in line and do as he was told. If anything, Robb was the polar opposite to him. But when Theon turned to glance at his friend, he saw that stubborn kind of determination that only a STARK could possess.        “You’re SERIOUS,” he blurted, the words skeptical and almost a question. For a moment, he gaped at Robb, eyebrows rising comically high, before turning his eyes back to road. “You’re ACTUALLY serious,” he repeated, laughter escaping him once again. The blinker clicked as he signaled to pull into a driveway and then proceeded to turn around, making the beginning of their journey to the highway “Well, you know me. I’m not one to argue when there’s beaches involved.”

The food on the floor caught her eye once more, and though it did not look particularly appetising, she could not deny her hunger. She took it, mostly for Theon’s sake. “Theon, can you find out what they intend to do?” she questioned. She thought to ask him if there was any means of escape, but she didn’t know if she could trust him not to inform the Boltons of her question or not. 

She reached for the tray, and the relief he felt was like a balm for the trembling anxiety which had rose up in his chest. At least, his words were heeded. Despite their tension, despite what had happened at Winterfell, he didn’t want to see her wither away in this place. She deserved BETTER. He didn’t after such treachery.  “I. . .” Eyes darted away, looking around as if suspecting to find Ramsay lurking up behind him with hands outstretched. A shudder rolled through him at the thought. “I could try.” The words were more or less spoken to the ground rather than to her, his head hanging in shame of what he was promising to do by going against his master. 

     The thought only draws another sound from her, lingering on desperate, before she hears his words. Her head shakes and she takes another step away from him, hand leaving her mouth to drag across her face, to wipe away the emotion that she desperately tried to force down within herself. It was like fighting a losing battle. “I don’t want it,” she answers, stubborn even in defeat. She would rather starve, now.

     The fear of what Ramsay will do flares up quickly. Will he punished for upsetting Lady Sansa like this? Part of him flayed for another of his many failures? No matter what Reek does, he always seems to  R U I N  whatever he touches; Winterfell being the prime example. Fidgeting hands pull at ragged clothing, unsure of what to do next.       His lips part, hesitant at first to even speak. “Sansa. . .please.” Every inch of him is pleading, eyes worst of them all. Ramsay could easily starve her like he does the dogs. It’s not difficult to imagine the legitimized Bolton doing such a thing. He’s committed much worse crimes. “It-it may be all that he gives you.”

       “Robb isn’t here, y’know,” Sansa comes across harsher than intended, would be a liar if she apologized for the fact. It just… feels strange. Theon is her brother’s friend, not her own – yet he stands there, taking up more space than she cares for him to. Sansa couldn’t even tell him when Robb would be back, had no idea when he left or where he’d intended to go. The frown on her face deepens for a brief moment, something she stubbornly ignores.

     Eyebrows raise in silent challenge as Theon settles in a chair, making himself comfortable as if this is his own home. “Really? I hadn’t noticed,” is the heavily sarcastic comment in return. It’s only natural for him to respond with his own barbs. Personally, he has nothing against Robb’s sister, but sometimes her attitude rubs him the wrong way. “I texted him awhile ago. Never got an answer. You haven’t heard anything from him, have you?”
