So, perhaps you noticed that the URL of this blog changed. That is because I moved all of my stuff, cleaned it up and basically did everything I could to establish a new place. I know it’s bothersome, dear followers, but I also hope you all know how Tumblr system works... With deleting my wildly outdated main blog this one will have to be deleted alongside it, because that’s how the system works! Damn the system...

03/05/2016 - Commander Peepers!

Last time I did a fanart of my most favourite villain in Cartoons, and that’s telling a lot since I love cartoons and know quite a lot of great villians! Aku, Dr. Doofershmirtz, Skeletor... But we all know that Lord Hater is indeed the greatest in the galaxy!

However what good villain would ever dare to conquer anything without a trustworthy and properly fanboish second in command? And Lord Hater is lucky here for having the astonishing Commander Peepers (*cue music*), who is pretty much in love with his boss and shows a rare quality amongst such characters... He is competent at his job. He knows how to organise an army, how to conquert and govern planets and his plans are pretty solid stuff!

14/04/2016 - LORD HATER!

We live in great times, folks. Especially if you are a cartoons fan and love them animation. Just look back a little bit and see the vast riches of great, bah, amazing cartoons we are blessed with. We can dive deep in insane abstract ideas and robust background of Adventure Time, we can shed tears with the struggles and heartfelt notions of Steven Universe, we can be enchanted and horrified by the grim atmosphere of Over the Garden Wall, or bask in the superb storytelling and characters chemisty in Gravity Falls.

And there are plenty more good or great cartoons to watch and enjoy! We Bare Bears, Star vs. Forces of Evil, Bravest Warriors, Bee and Puppycat, Uncle Grandpa...

And the gem that is Wander over Yonder. It is quite a neat thing... See, I don’t think it is as good as the big four I listed in the first paragraph. It is more classic in its course, more clinging to the well-known standards of cartoons stories and cliches. But this show offers still quite a few things worthy of your time. First would be the art style and animation, both of the Highest God Damn Quality you can enjoy on the tele. The characters are so fluid, the creativity of the backgrounds vast and boundless... It’s a delight on the eyes!

And second most important things is...

LORD HATER! THE GREATEST IN THE GALAXY! :O

I can’t tell you how much I LOVE Hater and his second in command, the glorious Commander Peepers! Hater is like an essence, a golden formula for every comic, cartoony, off-the-charts villains. He is the pnnacle of good-spirited evil doofus. And even if that would be enough to make him a fantastic character, the artists and authors of the show made him a TRUE FAB ROCKSTAR. Just look at the backgrounds and colours when he appears or have his fits. The simple, flashing icons of thunders, the music, the mood. He lives (or unlives, since he is a skeleton!) the dream of being a true rock-master of the stars, and gosh, he fits the role so well.

Goodbye, Skeletor from He-Man! You’ve been replaced in my heart with the new favourite skeleton... He is just much more, ah... Electrifying!

13/04/2016 - Ol’ Big Nose

So this one is entirely special, because it was made in extraordinary circumstances. See, last week I helped my father with the attendance at big expo for Photo-Video stuff. It’s hardly my first time with this stuff and as usual, in front of our booth there was a semi-official @wacom stand. And as before the staff graciously allowed me to shamelessly occupy one of their booth Cintiq to draw to my heart content. Which is hardly surprising! I mean, I am hardly a great artist. I am in fact most likely amongst the massive throngs of delicious amatours treating this as a hobby. And yet, in the crowds of attending people it was still superbly fun to see the reactions, get the compliments for ‘mad skills’ and educate some people about how it’s not just talent, but hard work to get good on any imaginable level! Another fun thing is... I met people! In fact it was eye-opening. Now I want to attend more Expos and Conventions even for work opportunities! During this three days I gave 5 business cards, got asked for mail and telephone number for commissions and work by a few people interested in getting some art done! So if you’re struggling with getting work with your art... Attend an Expo! ;)

03/04/2016 - Bugs in guaches!

Ah, finally! Something new. The spring finally came to my dreadfully cold and grey country, bringing sun and warmth and lots of little positive changes to my own ongoing life... First of all, I began my daily strolls. Proper ones too, no cheatin’, no beatin’ around - every sunny day I go out in the evening before the sun set to walk around my beautiful city for at least an hour. Just walk around, discover the place where I live and get some sun and air. For health! Second, I finally started writing that short novella I really, really want to publish! I already managed to publish a boardgame or two, crossed that off my bucket list, not to publish a book... Standard and yet so sweet way of attaning some sort of dusty immortality ;)
