- peranakan tiles outside shopfronts even when they're old and cracked so even when you're walking to a convenience store there will be something beautiful to look at. standing outside a shop and looking down and noticing these beautiful tiles under your sandals all in pastel colours that are similar to the bright pastel colours the shop lot is painted, baby blues and salmons and mint greens and butter yellows

- riding the lrt/mrt when it's raining and looking out the window at the lush green jungle right outside and rain dripping down the windows that are fogging a bit because the humidity is so high outside and the green is just so bright you could stare at it forever and until you have to get off at your stop you can just sit there and look

- night blooming jasmine everywhere that will catch you by surprise you'll be standing somewhere innocuous outside a restaurant or shop or house and catch the scent and find night blooming jasmine somewhere and it feels like a gift every time. hibiscus will sneak up on you like this as well

- walking around in the older parts of the city and looking at the art deco patterned window and door grates & the old shop signs in chinese, tamil, bahasa, etc i love that style of graphic design and seeing so many languages together and the art deco grates remind me of the ones in my grandparents home and i love that style of architecture
