“Why do you care so much?
“I care because you’re my best friend.” Fame said, eyeing Violet before looking back down at her phone screen. “I just think that you’re going to end up hurt no matter who you date.” Of course what the chicken loving queen said was only half of the truth, but now that she was with Roy she couldn’t openly tell Violet that the things she felt for her were still very strong. “I’ve seen you hurt before and I don’t want you like that again…”
“I’m not going to get hurt,” Violet bit back defensively. Though she knew the cosmic queen was always one to have her best interest in mind - it was important for Violet to reinforce that she didn’t need to be babied. Listening to Fame’s retell her current relationship woes - Violet felt her heart ache for her ex, especially since Bianca had reported the same issues of disproportionate sex drives to her. “If it’s not working out then it’s not working out. I know you and you have more space in your heart than anyone, so I doubt that’s the problem.”
“Shut up, bitch. You act like I’m babying you. This isn’t even halfway to babying...” Tiredly, Fame stretched her legs out and put the entirety of her weight on Violet. “It’s part of the problem. I can’t move on and this is all on me, again. I’m going to fuck it up, even if it’s right. Just like I did with you...” The sleepy rambling was a nightly thing for the alien queen, a thing Violet would know from sleeping in the same bed as her. “If I could turn back time.”
