- so sunfyre is like,,, actually dead? like that is a very big change from the book plotline, given that he cannibalised a lot of dragons and killed Rhaenyra in the books
- also look, i have seen the amount of discourse surrounding their going off book and some people arguing against it and others arguing (sort of) for it on the grounds that the book is simply and in-universe account told by unreliable narrators
- i want to make something clear: i have not read the books, i only know bits and pieces from said online discourse
- now, i like the show and i do recognise that they have perhaps made some egregious changes but what many people forget is that books and TV are a vastly different medium and you cannot simply copy/paste certain storylines and have them still make sense. Does that mean I think the TV story is better? idk like i said i havenāt read the books, which is why I cannot feel slighted like some clearly do, but I am enjoying the story that I am being told and I also enjoy that the book ending seems to not be written entirely in stone, because it keeps me guessing
- btw, there is an essay somewhere in my brain about the ādifferent mediums, different storiesā conversation by example of How to Train your Dragon, actually, so if people are interested I can get into that at some point
- EITHER WAY with Sunfyre now confirmed dead, we no longer know how Rhaenyraās story and that of many of the Dragons is going to end, which honestly, to me, is a good thing
SIDENOTE: yes i welcome discussion about my opinions, however blatant hate that is simply based on āthey changed itā will not receive an answer. yes they changed it, but guess what the books still exist. this is fiction meant to entertain us and give a bit of whimsy to our lives, lets not sour it, let people enjoy their media while keeping open, respectful dialogue <3

- she would make a good queen and an even better one had the hightowers not usurped the throne in the first place

- very smart of Rhaenyra to talk to Orwyle (is that how you spell his name? whatever they all have crazy names) about the High Septon first, i feel like she is much better at reigning in her impulsivity and darker thoughts than Aegon
- like Alicent told Aegon last season that he is ignorant for not heeding the advice of his council and not showing them respect, but now that Rhaenyra has a council that respects her and her claim she actively seeks them out, much like their father did
- SHE WOULD BE A GOOD RULER, CERTAINLY BETTER THAN ANY OF THE MEN CURRENTLY WANTING FOR THE CROWN
- also yeyyy daemon mention finally, i have been wondering if weād get to see him this ep, but this feels like a tie in to him

- can it be aegonās? how long has it been since heās,,,, had the necessary,,,, the umā since heās had a dick okay, how long ago did he lose his cock? pregnancy starts to show at around 4-5 months, i think, so if itās been longer then it could not have been Aegon
- i feel like rhaenyra should have been clearer in her instructions towards the goldcloaks, because iām not sure she wanted them to terrorise the town like this

- okay so to me it looks like Daeronās dragon is almost familiar with burning and eating human flesh (either that or she has been starved) but given how things are unfolding i could see her being the one to take Sunfyreās place if they are still wanting to sort of follow the plot of the book ending? weāll see i guess
- also surprising to me that Ormund is able to walk into the same room as the dragon, given how s1 ep1 made it very clear that dragons stink lol
- still wondering what Alys is up to because genuinely, how could no one notice Aemond fleeing on Vhagar, like NO ONE HAS SEEN HER HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??
- anyway 10/10 episode, will probably rewatch all of Daemonās appearances, the plot is surely plotting :D
