I like Daemon. He hasn't changed since season 1. He still wants all their heads mounted on spikes.

plausible guesses:

now that aegon has sunfyre he immediately miscalculates his actual power and does something massively stupid

rhaenyra finally snaps under the ungodly amounts of pressure and also does something massively stupid (and i will love her even more for it)

rhaena is shocked and incredibly grateful for the way nyra is willing to understand her situation, contrasted with daemon feeling absolutely awful for assuming it would go differently

townspeople start turning on nyra? all hell breaks loose? nyra says fuck it and gets some people killed?

completely unfounded wants:

daemon does something rash to prove himself and ends up hurt

aegon and aemond kill each other <333 (id say bite each other’s dicks off but aegon already lost his HA)

hightower guy gets eaten by a dragon

rhaena gets sheepstealer back and they’re able to train him yayyyyy (<- this will not happen)

I second all your wants, specifically Daemon and Rhaenyra centred (we both love whump this is no secret anymore lol) and i REALLY hope that we get them reunited and standing strong AND A KISS PLEASE IT HASN’T HAPPENED SINCE THEIR WEDDING

as for predictions; maybe this is cheating but I did see a few of the promo pics and season finale trailer parts but i try to avoid them. from what i did see:

- battle of tumbleton FOR SURE the entire season has been building towards it (and then we have the shots with Daemon leading the army etc)

- possibly Rhaenyra public coronation before she herself flies into battle there as well (based on the chainmail armour look and the crown she was rocking when addressing the people)

- a one on one real talk between Daemon and Rhaenyra right before he leaves for the battle. don’t know whether they will make up or shatter even further because in the pics they are close and intimate but some also seem kinda tense body language wise? hard to tell from a still. i know it’ll be as Daemon gets ready to leave though, because he is not wearing one of his fancy royal fits and his armour is on an armour stand in the back of the shot. knowing the show it’ll probably be a heart wrenching goodbye moment where Daemon gets rejected once again but I actually really am still holding out hope that maybe we get a moment of sweetness between them

- beyond that, i assume, based on precedent, that Caraxes is gonna have one scene that absolutely carries the episode

- aemond will probably keep doing,,,, whatever the fuck is going on over there at harrenhal? like my man has been there for a month and has been cultified by Alys but the one thing that could shift her power over him is his MUM WHO HE WANTS TO FUCK lets not get into this actually i’d be good if the finale didn’t involve him

- i’d also be good with an aegon free finale but that will NOT happen, though i don’t know how big his role will be in this next ep? with tumbleton happening and from where the overarching story is going (roughly, as this isn’t a one to one from book canon) it would make more sense from a writing perspective to have him maybe actually go into hiding now?

- i defo think Rhaenyra the Cruel will be present in this ep, like i get the feeling they will just burn tumbleton which was like a thing that Rhaenyra refused to do because innocents are there but like a lot has happened since then and i think her slowly descending into this need to see prove that the gods chose her will ultimately lead her there

- as for Rhaena and Sheepstealer, i think they will make a comeback, though not this season but sometime in s4, and perhaps not even as a duo then, but who knows

- some characters will probably die, i am gonna say most likely are Gwayne, Haelena, maybe Daeron and MAYBE Ormund though i think for those last two it’ll be one or the other. I DONT think that Daemon or Aemond will die just yet because I do not foresee them changing the Battle of the Gods Eye and even if they do, they’ll wanna milk the love for these two divas for at least another half a season (god bless for that)

   Although not the most traditional-looking dragon, Caraxes’ appearance aided him in all confrontations. His red colouring and serpentine build struck fear into the hearts of all men who encountered him. Roughly half the size of Vhagar, he mirrors a worm or even a snake. This disturbed his opponents. 

   Over the years Caraxes accumulated a lot of knowledge about war and was able to attack opponents while also defending his rider. Caraxes only had two riders, Aemon and Daemon Targaryen. The two men had more differences than similarities, but what they did have in common was the fact that they were outsiders. 

   Like all dragon-riders, their bonded dragons mirrored themselves in one way or another. And so like his riders, Caraxes too was an outcast. He wasn’t liked by many people and especially other dragons. It is said that the only dragon who was fond of Caraxes was Syrax. 

   In the clutch of eggs, the dragon-trainers dubbed Caraxes the fiercest out of the bunch. He had a hot temperament, even for a dragon, and didn’t warm to many people.
