-ARTURO "ARTIE" CASTILLIO PT.2-

The amount of scars Arturo is drawn with shows at what point in the story the drawing is from. Here, he is in his earlier on-the-run days. I imagine here he found a quiet, secluded place to finally sit and have a smoke without needing to watch his back. I moved the cloth (scarf thing?) that he previously wore on his waist to his head to cover his face while he's out. If you are interested in him, my only other post at the moment is his introduction.

As for the technical aspect, I feel that what I most need to focus on is backgrounds, rendering different materials, and cleaner less cartoonish lines. I liked playing with lighting, and plan to try it again later on. I am still new in digital art; however, I feel that already learned a lot from this one. I have some cool thumbnails in mind.

I encourage pointers, advice, and critique. If you feel so called.

I have never posted to tumblr before or shown the world a character of mine. So here we are. This is Arturo or "Artie", a rich boy turned man on the run. The "elevator pitch" for this character is as follows: Arturos dad passes away. In his will, it is stated that the first twin (between Arturo and his sister, Arabella) to execute the other will receive the entire inheritance; until then the money will sit in a vault untouched. Arturo flees Spain to South America as Arabella sends a plethora of bounty hunters, assassins and hit men after him. He is able to stay hidden in Argentina, until she resorts to dragging a legend out of retirement.

Well, there's the gist. He goes from a rich diva to a dirty street rat. Will I post more on him? Will I expand on this story? Will I draw the guy who finally catches Arturo? If my classes don't kill me. Let me know if you'd be interested on more about Arturo and his story. If a singular person comments, I'll draw more for the tale. If not, I'll do it anyway. Screw you!

I would also like to say that while I have been making art for most of my life, digital art and stylized work is new to me, so I am open to pointers and advice.
