I know I’ve complained about it a million times before but the SW community that used to be so large and vibrant on here was instrumental in so much of how I look at kink and my own sexuality. It’s those SW’s that told me being a pervert is okay, that needing sex is okay, that having a high sex drive is a neutral aspect of yourself as a person like having hair or a love of music, that prioritizing your sexual needs in a relationship is okay, that being horny is a morally neutral action, that ending a relationship over your sexual needs not being met is okay, that sex doesn’t have to be mean to you what it means to everyone else, that paying for sex or porn is a morally neutral action, like. Those people changed my relationship with my sex in such a positive way because they looked at sex in positive way and showcased that sex isn’t inherently anything that society tried to treat it as. They made me feel better about my ridiculous sex drive, they made me feel better about putting kink and sex is a requirement in a relationship for me, they made me feel better about having odd fetishes, they made me feel better about not loving the idea of only having sex with one person for the rest of my life, and they did all that not because they were trying to make me feel better and make a sale, but because they genuinely viewed sex in such a positive way and tried to spread that. And it made such an impact on me. I love mutuals I love my community on here but I will always, ALWAYS miss the community and culture here that the porn ban killed. As a mildly traumatized young eighteen year old kid arguably with hyper-sexuality tendencies or whatever buzzwords you want to use, seeing people treat sex normally and neutrally and encouraging people to engage with their own sexuality instead of hiding it or being ashamed of it, it made a massive difference in how I view myself. Shout out to all those girls I followed when I first started being on here. I can’t remember any of their URL’s I know most of them moved on or retired from internet presences but I will always be thankful to them for helping me get to a more positive view on sexuality
