Long time no post, and I sincerely apologize for that. My holiday schedule between work and film obligations have been intense, but I’m happy to inform you all that things seem to be settling down so I may have a breather to update you all on my plans for myself and for this page. 

For starters, let’s talk about the future of In Fragments. I still 100% plan on completing this project even if it takes me years and a snail’s pace, so don’t count on this page being forgotten or lost. I can see myself having more free time to work on this again maybe around the end of January or sometime in February, the latest maybe being March or April; the closer we get to those months I’ll post another update.

I’ve missed you all tremendously and I especially miss working on new pages. At the very least things have been going very well in my personal life with other projects that I’ve been apart of. I just got through with wrapping up my scenes for a film I got to play a main character in, and I received news that one of my film groups and I got invited to participate in a “round 2″ competition to create another short film In January which is very exciting. Even though I haven’t been able to work on the pages, I’ve been receiving some commissions here and there that have been rewarding on its own and I’ve still been actively drawing a lot in my sketchbook to keep my skills sharpened. 

I can’t wait to get back into the groove of things, and I can’t stress enough how much it means to me to still see you all here (and to see the follows on this account continue to grow regardless of the hiatus.) Thank you all for your continued patience and support. I’ll see you all again soon

I would like to start off by saying that I’m terribly sorry for the lack of an update. My personal obligations have been so overwhelming and I sincerely just had to continue sacrificing time to put into my comic. Aside from my formal job, I would like to explain to you all what has been demanding my attention so much. 

Aside from working on In Fragments, I have taken an interest in the film business. I’ve networked and gotten to work with really cool people, and I’m officially an actor as well as a storyboard artist for local film makers. I’m definitely not big or anything, but I’ve taken pretty good steps that I’m proud of. I’ve acted on several different projects now, including being an extra on a feature film or being one of the main talking roles in a short film I helped write and direct for a 48hr Film Festival, and just the other day I received confirmation that I’ve been cast for one of the main speaking roles for a short film. I’ve also been able to keep up with practicing my art as a storyboard artist for different directors on a pre-production TV series and another film, and I’ve been hired to help a production company storyboard a couple of their projects as well. To top it all, I’m taking a class, trying to maintain my streaming schedule with my Twitch crew, continuing to go to the gym to stay in shape, trying to juggle a formal work schedule as well aside from my freelance work, and trying to maintain my social life at the end of the night as a way to decompress from the workload. 

With everything, I don’t really have a lot of time to just myself anymore, so when I end up with a day off I veg out and just play video games by myself or try to run as many errands as I can in one day that I’ve neglected throughout the week. I haven’t been able to draw for In Fragments in quite some time, and with the holidays rolling around, it’s only going to get worst for my work schedule. Which brings me to the main topic of this announcement: In Fragments is going on an official hiatus until a proper work schedule can be reformatted to fit its needs. It may be hard to believe with the lack of updates these past few months, but In Fragments is always sincerely on my mind. I always want to work on it but don’t always have the energy or mental space for it. I constantly go over the rest of the plot in my head and I get excited for the day I get to show you all the whole story, but for the first time in a year it has to go on the back burner for now. There are a lot of opportunities presenting themselves that I would kick myself for passing up, and In Fragments will always be my pride and joy that I can return to. 

Words can’t express how much it means to me that you all enjoy my work and continue to support and send wonderful messages to help me keep going. It really blows me away to see the followers still continue to rise, and sometimes I feel very undeserving of your patience, especially now. In Fragments WILL be finished, no matter how long it takes, and I appreciate you all sticking around to see it to the end with me.

I apologize immensely for semi dropping off the face of the earth for the last week or two, I’ve been overwhelmed with a lot of personal obligations and had to set back this project a lot longer than I wanted to.

A current update to the status of In Fragments: it is not dead. In Fragments will continue production even though I’m working at a snail’s pace at the moment. Even though I have two weeks in between each update, other personal obligations are making it more and more difficult to work on this consistently in that time frame. I believe the best course of action at the time being is to work on In Fragments as much as I can, but currently not set a release date for uploads, and uploading each update just when they’re ready. I understand this to be an inconvenience, but the additional stress of trying to meet deadlines unsuccessfully is hindering my process of being able to produce quality uploads.

However, I’ve set up somewhat of a compromise for this idea. I understand that this is inconvenient not only for me but the audience (especially you Patreon supporters) but I’ve decided that if there must be a longer wait period between uploads, I can at the very least include additional pages per upload. I hope this gives you something to look forward to in exchange for me having to take off set dates for uploads. When uploads are ready, they will continue to be released a day early for Patreon before going live publicly the day after.

I do sincerely from the bottom of my heart appreciate the kind words of support and patience every time you guys are forced to see another announcement on this page instead of an update. I love every single one of you and I cannot express or stress enough how much you all mean to me. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Cheers

I know you guys must be sick of seeing only announcements and no progress on this page, and sincerely I do apologize for the lack of consistency with updates. Where I lack being able to single handedly keep up with uploads I try my best to at least maintain communication with you guys, because the last thing that I want is for you all to think that I don’t care about you. I’ve been extremely busy the past two weeks with work and all kinds of other side projects (which again I promise to let you guys know about once it’s finished) and it’s prevented me on working on the comic to the fullest of my capabilities. I need to postpone the next update by at least another week due to time constraints, and as I always reiterate, I value the quality over the quantity of uploads because that’s what you and I deserve. 

I absolutely appreciate all the support and patience that you guys have for me. We just hit another 100+ follower milestone and it means the world to me that you guys can continue to stick around for it. I hope you guys have a wonderful day. Cheers

Sorry for the bad news, I know I just “came back” but I need to push back the update by one more week to Aug 9th. I donated blood and rendered myself useless for a whole 2 days and set my production back too far while still trying to juggle other personal obligations and my formal work schedule. I’ve spent the last two days working on the comic for 16+hrs and I can’t see myself getting it done on time with the quality it deserves. I want to start of by thanking every single one of you for your patience and immeasurable amount of support. It’s really hard for me to step away from the things that I love to do, but some recent events forced me to step back and sort some important things out, physically and mentally. 

I’m writing today to announce that things have slowly started to rework itself out; I’ve involved myself in some super exciting side projects that I’ll be happy to talk more about when more details unfold. I’ve regained my balance and am making what I feel to be the correct steps to recovering from a relapse in a spiraling depression episode. It was hard to find it in me to do anything that I cared to do, and falling back into this terrible mindset drove a deep cut into my rational thinking. Truthfully I almost gave up this project entirely, but every time I came close to it, I could never really close the book on In Fragments. I knew that I cared too much not only for the people who enjoy seeing the updates, but for the story itself. I love what the story as a whole stands for, and I owe it not only to Jade and Kayden to finish telling their story, but to myself as well. I’m truly proud of what I’ve accomplished so far, and I know I could never rest easy without finishing this story, let alone the other stories I have planned for the future.

I’m so relieved and excited to say that In Fragments will return back to your normal schedule. I’ve missed working on my passion and I can hardly wait to continue. The next update will be the 19th of July, returning back to its regularly scheduled bi-weekly uploads.

Going over the next coming update, I’ve decided for pacing purposes to push back the June 7th update to the following Friday, June 14th. The next update will have 5 pages rather than the regular 3 (occasional 4) in order to have the update flow better and not feel so incomplete and abrupt. In order to ensure I complete this on time, extending the update by an additional week seemed like the best option.
