Healing isn't about keeping everyone; it's about keeping your sanity and refusing to unlearn what self-respect finally taught you.

You see their scars, insecurities, mood swings, trauma, moral differences. It's no longer perfect. It's real. once you have real feelings for someone, they don’t disappear. you can’t truly fall out of love, you can’t just grow distant. you don’t suddenly dislike them or erase them from your body or soul. if you could, then maybe it wasn’t love... maybe it was just a temporary need.
