I'm still just upside down, promise.

I think tomorrow we are going to attempt to take the kids to an airshow. My MIL is still recovering from her recent hospital stay and can’t pick up our tubby baby, so we would need to bring all the kids with us. I’m so nervous taking 4 kids anywhere. The toddler is a speedy wildcard and the baby is … a baby. And the older kids are whiny at times. It can just really easily become overstimulating - especially when going somewhere that is going to have crowds. Like big crowds.

I started reading The Deal because I was interested in watching the Tv show and wanted to read the book(s) first.

Luke made a comment that essentially equated to be, “you would get alone time (from the kids) if you exercised” and I WILL be giving full feedback on that as soon as I stop plotting his imminent demise with the closest blunt force object. 😐

I love when I’m switching sides with the baby in the dark while feeding him and as I spin him towards the other side he’s just got his little mouth open looking like a fish gasping for air 🤣

Gideon had a really tight upper lip frenulum. It didn’t seem to affect feeding when he was a baby (breast&bottle) but it’s been more of an issue since he got teeth because it’s so dang hard to get under his upper lip to get his teeth brushed well.

First of all, the wildfires happening right now are horrific and I’ve been glued to stories about the evacuation of Boundary Waters. Luke and his brother like to do off grid trips out there - with just a little satellite notification they can send out daily about where they are location wise and that they’re fine. I can’t imagine how hard it is to locate everyone with no way to actually contact them.

Finding what I consider to be an age appropriate swimsuit for my narrow, tall 7 year old girl WILL be the death of me. 😭 Our go to one pieces aren’t cutting it anymore because she’s getting too tall, but the next size is so huge.

Playing the game of trying to figure out if I’m well enough to go to work tonight. I haven’t had a fever today, but I had been taking Tylenol and ibuprofen around the clock. I haven’t taken anything since 6am so with it being noon now I’m waiting to see what symptoms one through if any.

I hate calling into work.

Luke did a half marathon with a personal record a month tho or so ago, and is now continuing forward training for a full marathon. (Not his first one, but first one in the last many years).

My ex is saying he can’t commit to paying for (his share) of the kids sports in the fall because I’m asking for child support. Even though he makes over double what I make and these are activities they’ve done for years so in my eyes - not unexpected expenses.

I finally requested child support from my ex. Not a decision made lightly and I have a lot of feelings I’ve been sorting out about it. But he has made more than double my income for the last two years, so it also felt like it was time.

Oh my god.
