I wouldn’t say i’ve the enjoyment of them to match an Entomologist’s, but I do think there are interesting little critters roaming around should you take the time to observe.

If the scope is any bug, then the trilobite beetle comes to mind quick… The difference between the male and female beetle of the genus is amusing, and the female looks prehistoric, hence its name.

It's difficult to concentrate on the morning puzzles when hearing very unpleasant euphemisms for genitalia.

Good news: I found her. Rotti had stashed her body under his bed (no idea where her dress went, so I gave her some dignity with one of his bedcurtains) for a reason that is still inexplicable to me.

Bad news: Getting her out and back to the Wallace residence will prove a challenge. I knew I couldn't pick her up, so I tried using another curtain to decrease friction as I dragged her out. Not only do I now fear repercussions for breaking into Rotti's bedroom, but I felt a sharp pang that left me literally breathless for a second or two.

Between those two options I’d much rather be a Centipede.

They’ve got the defence of being venomous, harmful to both insect, animal, and human. Plus, they’re quick moving creatures of the night… 🤷🏻
