Closed Starter: Hyde & Jackie ( @indieforbeeâ )
Hyde didnât move from his spot when the others were around. He had his sunglasses on and his head turned toward the TV but his gaze continuously moved to Jackie where she sat on the worn couch. His sarcastic quips came less frequently when Kelso did something dumb or Fez said something incredibly naive. He tried to keep up but nobody seemed to notice the lack of them anyway. His expression didnât change except for the occasional smirk at certain actions.
Then Donna and Eric had a date. Fez said something about snacks and asked the couple for a lift. It left Kelso, Jackie and Hyde himself. Kelso tried to make a move on Jackie, asking her to come for a ride to some lookout that he had frequented with the woman a lot himself recently. With his arms folded, Hyde could feel his fists clench but they relaxed as soon as Jackie brushed him off. He let out his signature laugh, âThat certainly ruffled your perfect, shiny hair,â he teased in a mocking tone which, of course, Kelso took seriously and ran out of the room panicking about his hair, âDamn, I thought theyâd never leave,â he said, reaching out for Jackie to pull her closer.
Jackie sat on the end of the couch, the one closest to Steven, since they all moved seats often, nobody would notice if she tried to sit a little closer to him. Still her gaze remained on whatever stupid show Eric had turned on, insisting it was funny, though nobody seemed to be laughing. The conversations around her were normal, the same typical âWhat are we doing this weekend?â and âThere better be beer, or girls, or candyâ debates. Fez and his stupid candy obsession, it made her roll her eyes more than usual.
Then finally, Eric and Donna left, Fez with them, meaning it was just her, Steven, and her ex-boyfriend. The second Michael turned his attention to her, she bristled, not really needing or wanting his attention. Though the mention of the lookout made her smirk, but only because of the other man in the room. âMichael, if I wanted to watch you try to make out with yourself, I wouldâve stayed your girlfriend.â She said, hearing how Steven laughed. Then after another quip from Steven, the man left, finally leaving them alone. âSeriously.â She grinned, her arms wrapping easily around his neck as he pulled her closer, she sat easily in his lap, her lips immediately finding his.
