Vrindavan is known as land of lord sri Krishna . Vrindavan is widely visited as a pilgrimage spot specially by the krishna lovers.

The forest land of Vrindavan in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh finds its mention in epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata as the playground of Lord Krishna. It is where he spent his childhood and performed various unfathomable miracles. While the forest of Vrindavan has condensed to a few square kilometres, the land still holds its spiritual aura and a profound religious charm that attracts millions from practically every country and every religion in the world.

It is said that Vrindavan is a town of temples as one can find temples devoted to Lord Krishna at every nook and corner of the town. More than 50 temples that we can list here are famous for some miracle or the other. The most famous of them that is coming up is the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir - the world’s tallest temple, ISKCON temple - also known as Sri Krishna-Balarama Temple and Angrezon ka Mandir, was built on the orders of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, Madan Mohan Temple,  is one of the oldest temples in Vrindavan and is associated with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu . The original idol of Lord krishna in this temple was shifted to Karauli , Rajasthan during Aurangzeb's era. Now, one can see a replica only in this temple instead of the original idol, Bankey Bihari Temple – it is believed that swami Haridas had established the idol of Krishna , Prem Mandir, built by Jagadguru Kripaluji Maharaj, is one of the finest temple and the uniqueness of this temple lies in the beautiful stone carvings. This temple is based on the divine leela of Radha & Krishna

Madan Mohan temple symbolized the stories of Sanatana Goswami who was a great devotee of lord sri Krishna in 15th century. This is very beautiful temple of load krishna situated in lovely surroundings .

History:-

Advaita Acarya find the original Deity of Madana-Mohan at the lowest part of an old vata tree, when Advaita Acarya visited Vrindavana. He found this Deity at Advaita Vata, which is the place where he did his bhajana. This place is just below the hill on which the Madana-Mohan temple is located. Sri Radha Damodara Temple is a ancient temple near Seva Kunj in Vrindavan. This temple was established by Srila Jiva Goswami in the year 1542 C.E.

History:-

This ancient temple established by Srila Jiva Goswami. He was a virakta vaishanava so in order to keep the service to Thakur. he initiated Sri Vilash Das and Sri Krishna Das Goswami Maharaj whose family is still serving Thakur Sri Sri Radha Damodar jew.

Architecture:-

This temple is being constructed entirely of stone in traditional Hindu architecture.

The Bankey Bihari temple which is situated at Vrindavan , is the most holiest and famous temple of Lord Sri Krishna in India.

History:-

This temple was constructed in the year 1864 with the contribution of Goswamis. After constructing of temple, Goswamis transferred the idol to this temple. Bankey means “Bent at three places” and Bihari means “Supreme enjoyer”. Bankey bihari ji is worshiped and looked after as a child.

This temple is decorated with various type of flowers and lights. In this temple, there is no bells or conch because Bankey Bihari does not like the sound of bells or conch. there is only chant of ‘radha naam’.

Badrinath Temple is known as Badrinarayan Temple. This is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu which is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India.

History :-

There is no such historical records about the Badrinath Temple, but there is a mention of the presiding deity Badrinath in Vedic scriptures, indicating the presence of the temple during the Vedic period.It is also heard that the temple was a Buddhist shrine till the 8th century and Adi Shankara converted it to a Hindu temple.

The Madurai Meenakshi temple is one of the biggest temples in India. The original temple built by Kulasekara Pandyan was in ruins.The structure plan for the current temple was laid by Viswanath Naik and was completed by Tirumalai Nayakar.

History :-

The Pandiyan monarch [Kulasekara] built a lord Shiva temple and the streets radiated out from the temple like lotus petals. The city was henceforth known as 'Madhurapuri'. Madhurapuri grew and prospered to become the capital of the Pandiyan Kingdom. It is referred to in the Ramayana and in Kautilya's Arthasashtra. , In the year 1310, this temple was completely destroyed by Malik Kafur who was a rajput landlord of solankis family. 

Then, this Meenakshi Amman Temple was re-constructed by first Nayak King of Madurai, Viswanatha Nayak in the year 1600.

Architecture:-

The temple has 14 gopurams including two magnificent Thanga (golden) Gopurams. The gopurams have exquisite sculptures with elaborate detailing. The Brihadeeswara temple is called Big Temple and this temple is dedicated to Lord Siva. This temple is marvelous architecture and it is World Heritage Site.

History:-

Brihadeeswara Temple was built by the great Chola King Raja Raja 1 (985 -1012 A.D). it is an outstanding example of Chola architecture. Recognizing its unique architectural excellence, UNESCO has declared it a World Heritage Monument.

Khajuraho temples were built over a span of 200 years between 950 to 1150 during the reign of the Chandela kings. Khajuraho was home to a large Jain community who lived in the eastern side of Khajuraho .

The western side of the Khajuraho group of temples houses the most important temples in Khajuraho. The Kandariya Mahadeva dedicated to Lord Shiva is the largest temple at Khajuraho. The Adeeswar Temple is a popular temple in Chennai. This Temple is located in Polal village which is at a distance of 9 km from the city of Chennai.

History:-

This temple was founded in the first Century B.C by One of such legend cast Valluvar, who lived at Mylapore in the closing years of the first Century B.C. His notable creation, Thirukkural, begins with the first couplet revering the pious Adi Bhagwan, who was the first omniscient teacher of Jainism.
