And I love the suspense between A Qing and Xue Yang, and the multiple bluffs they indulge in. I think their did a pretty good job adapting it into the show, especially Xue Yang going back and forth on whether or not he believes she's actually blind.

I remember watching this for the first time, and my heart breaking because you can see what Xue Yang COULD be, maybe...
But he still has his insane psychopathic tendencies. It's like he set things up so that he could continue to live in his little fantasy, but also built up a contingency should things go south and he would need to take down Xiao Xingchen. But he underestimated just how much "Xiao Xingchen would come to mean to him" (read, how obsessed he became)

I love all the little details they kept from the books.
Like Wei Ying grabbing the little lighter talisman before Sizhui drops it. Or later, Jingyi's chicken falling out of his mouth as he watched Lan Zhan go upstairs.
There's so many instances but I'm just listing those because they absolutely could have omitted those things but kept them in.
Again, i know changes were made but i stand by my statement that this is one of the greatest adaptations of all time.

If you don't know, you could just assume maybe it was a slip of the tongue, maybe this 'stranger' reminds of wei ying (he does make a comment about him being familiar), but if you know... ( ¬ᴗ¬)
