This rare fish is called Benten'uo or Pacific fanfish (Pteraclis aesticola) and recently (28-nov-2014) appeared  in Toyama bay, Japan. Is very rare and most likely seen as stomach content of large predatory fishes, such as tunas. Young probably inhabits shallow, adults deep water.

The species is silvery, blue-greenish to black with bright blue dorsal and anal fins. The genus name comes from the Greek word “ptera” meaning wing and “clis” meaning shut. The name refers to the impressive dorsal and anal fins of this species and presumably how they retract into scaly sheaths along the upper and lower margins of the fish. It grows to 61 cm in length.

Trees, like animals, can also experience albinism, though it is extremely rare.

As I found this extremely weird and I could stop thinking about how an albino plant could live (since there is no chlorophyll on their leaves) I made a small research.

I finally gave in and did one of those cool pokemon variations going around \o/ I picked Chikorita (my radish baby) for mine and it’s based on different parents, mainly the father! I’ve always liked the idea that when breeding 2 different species from the same egg group, while the offspring will always be the same specie as the mother, it still carries traits of the father.

This isn’t a Miyazaki film. It’s a gorgeous homage by a French animation student.
