A Collection of Tales

“busy? so, that sounds to me that he has been too occupied with running naked in the woods, has he taken you to do that? i bet you’d love an activity like that”, hiroto snorts, “but luckily, you have the one person you truly need– and that is me, of course.” he offers a quick grin to the other, grabbing the keys while heading to the door. “what do you count as unsightly though? i mean, haven’t you already seen and experienced almost everything there is to?” he snorts. — the bar is relatively quiet, yet again hiroto can’t bring himself to be sad about it. perhaps, right now, he isn’t too keen on being overly social. a rare thing, shockingly so, but there are times he simply prefers to settle down with a friend ; even if that friend has a habit of looking bored way too often for his liking. “get whatever you like, you know the drill by now”, hiroto hums as he passes the bar.

Yejoon had to bite his tongue in order to prevent himself from accidentally saying anything distasteful about how his significant other enjoys certain activities. Although he respects the other’s traditions, he knows he can’t, for the life of him, confidently say he’d enjoy the same. For one, he absolutely detests getting dirty. Thankfully, he didn’t have to explain everything since they were ready to leave. What he couldn’t prevent though, was an obvious hard roll of his eyes at Hiroto’s flirty comment. “No, thank you, and what I meant by ‘anything unsightly’ is if you go off to make out with another patron, I’m immediately leaving,” he clarifies before calling for a chauffeur.

“well, i mean.. i am partly crazy”, byungho laughs, waving his hand at apollo ( & mentally pouting, because who enjoys having to separate from someone as adorable as him ? only if dogs had thumbs, they could help with the task at hand. )   “we can order something nice takeout when we are done… i will let you choose”, he offers, pushing few rogue hairs away from his face, “i will pay”, he adds as he picks up bucket. “anyway… so, i want those three walls white”, byungho says, pointing at the said walls, “and that fourth one will be the colored one. let’s maybe get the color one done first? what do you think?”  he purses his lips, head tilting to the side.

There’s a bit of scratching followed by a small whine from Apollo when the door was effectively shut. The noises eventually stop, but Kyungie knows his dog is laying down right at the entrance, ready to react to the slightest acknowledgement by either of them. He sighs internally; with Apollo being such a handful often, it’s a wonder how he’s dealt with him for so long, he muses to himself.

“you and your dramatic ass. i know you’d enjoy every second of it”, hiroto feigns  hurt for a mere second, small but dramatic pout visiting his lips but soon dissolving.  he pays little to no attention to the paper ( he really doesn’t care if paper here and another there is missing. that is for the new accountant to worry about… once he manages to find someone. he really needs to get it done soon.) he only flicks his wrist for ice to form around the ashes, trapping small particles inside it; easier to clean up later. he stands up then, bringing his arms over his head for a stretch while his eyes never truly leave his dear friend. “why haven’t you  bothered your lovely fur man? or ooh– are you in a fight?  give me all the juicy details”, hiroto snorts, grabbing his jacket that has been resting on the back of his office chair,  clearly planning on granting yejoon’s wish of the trip to the club. he could use a drink or two himself… of any kind.

“pfft”, byungho shrugs off the other’s words, waving a pair of paint brushes towards him in a disregarding manner. “as much as i appreciate your powers, i think life will get very boring, very quickly if you start skipping things with it. don’t be lazy”, he speaks with a small, almost grin-like smile on his lips, finally standing up to his full height from where he has been opening up a bucket of paint. with few light steps, he is standing by the door, though focusing his attention on apollo, reaching to pet the soft fur behind his ear. “and i mean, you already promised to help me paint, so you better not try to sneak out of it”, he says, glancing at kyungie, “i promise it will be fun. i have helped to renovate my sister’s nursery once, it is a nice way to pass time”, he pulls his hand from apollo, and instead moves it to pat the other’s hair, then offering one of the brushes he has been holding in his other hand. “so… ready?”

“what, you want me to strip down and dance for you? because we both know i will do that”, a wide grins appears onto hiroto’s lips, corners of his eyes twinkling in a manner that is all but good sign. “i am bored too, though seeing your grumpy face lights up any room.” he doesn’t stop himself from rolling his eyes a little, crumpling up a paper he has been trying to make sense of for the past… hour or so ( – this is why you have accountants, they make sense of math and numbers in general, and in his defense, he did have one! but how on earth could have he known that the poor man was deadly allergic werewolf fur. who the hell is allergic to that? ) ; and proceeds to toss it towards  the other.
