SHADOWS AND REFLECTION

An urban fantasy novel

Currently on working on the first draft

Morana wakes up drowning in the body of a young woman who has no magic. She is the most powerful supernatural being on earth. Now she is left without her powers in the modern city of Broin. She finds that her host attends the University of Broin, an institution with a dark past and dangerous secrets that would shake the supernatural world upside down. On her quest to get her body and magic back, she must solve the mysteries of her past and present.

QUEEN'S PURPOSE?

A planned high fantasy trilogy

Currently shelved but fully planned. I will work on it after my first book is done

Aurelia Bloodsworth has been betrothed to the Crown Prince of Asteria since birth, due to her being born with the sovereign star. On the wedding day, the great seer stops the ceremony, stating the heaven's displeasure with the marriage. On the surface Aurelia seems to accept the great seer's heeds, on the inside she seethes with rage, swearing to herself that she shall be the sole sovereign of Asteria whether the heavens likes it or not, she will be Queen. She will fulfil her Purpose?

NEXUS

Roughly planned sci-fi fantasy series

Amin is born in a world where 99% of the population are born with a special conduit called The Nexus Core. It allows the people to channel magic through their system and use it. Only 35% of those with nexus can actually use magic as it is quite a technical skill to learn. The magic is used to fight the unnatural creations called 'Drakavac'. Amin is among the 1% without the nexus core, they are called Nulls. Amin uses her intellect and inventions to navigate a world not made for her and even the playing field.

Something is brewing in this world something more sinister than the drakavacs is nearing, maybe that is why she had to disguise herself as a boy all her life a for reason unknown even to her. All she knows is that she must never reveal true gender to the world.

A lot of the advice i get is stay consistent but as someone with ADHD that is practically impossible. I cry a lot over executive dysfunction (I try not to say laziness but that what i have been told my entire life, that I'm lazy). I'm going to try my best though

Hello lovely people👋

Genuinely, how can a writer market their book online without spoiling half of it.

Every idea i have about promoting my book are just spoilers. I want my readers to be introduced to my characters and the world i put them in through my book, not through my social media but i still need to promote my book online.

I'm thinking about writing a short story maybe on wattpad or A03, for people to be familiar with my writing but i don't know if i can write it alongside my book SHADOWS AND REFLECTIONS

I hate it when I'm reading a fic or a prompt, where bruce is doing stuff for his kids when they were young ( i.e singing a lullaby or tucking them in etc) and when it gets to Damian, it is dick who does the thing

I honestly wish to throw my phone (if i could afford to do so) whenever I'm promised a bruce fluff and they sneak in 'dick is damian dad' without even tagging it

To be honest, i don't like any of the Batkids. I really don't care for them.

For a while i was still saying i liked cass but that's a lie, i lied. I only said that cause she is the closest to Bruce's aesthetic/vibe, other than that if any of those kids are wiped off the face of the earth, i would not care. I would only care about how it affects Bruce. Same with the entirety of DC comics.

I only read them to have more information on my love, Bruce.

On my 1000th rewatch of Teen Wolf S3b and watching Void stiles made me think of Void Bruce Wayne.

The justice league uncovers a villian scheme hidden deep in the forest, they fight it in and the process bruce gets hit and falls unconscious with his blood seeping into the nemeton and accidentally free the nogitsune and it possesses Bruce. After they take him back to the watchtower for check up and nothing is wrong with him physically, he goes back home and lead life like normal.

Except, nothing is actually normal. He is losing track of time, having black outs and his nightmares which has been getting a little better over the years have become much worse. He is unable to sleep or know if he is dreaming or awake. He chucks it up to his C-PTSD. At first no one around him really notices the change but they slowly notice that something his wrong, they are thinking alzheimers though.

Meanwhile gotham erupts in chaos, several villains turn up dead, explosions across gotham, so much chaos and strife and no one knows who is behind it

OCs in a Musical Tag Chain

I do have a playlist for Changing Waters as a whole, but it's a combination of songs that fit the vibes of the different books in the trilogy and songs for the characters. So, I wanted to list off some songs that I could actually see the characters singing in-universe! I'm just doing some of the characters right now. (It's a tag game too, so feel free to chime in underneath with your ocs!)

Oh thanks for tagging me! Ive never done this before and I'm so bad with these but I'll give it a try! I feel like i could see one of my characters from my book series, Lysander, singing "Whatever It Takes" by Imagine Dragons 😁 i can't really reveal why I think he would sing this bc it would kinda spoil the book lol

I can see Mila singing ''Fight song'' since she overcomes a lot in her life :)

And lastly, I can see Nymera singing ''Never Give Up'' i think she would mostly sing this to Mila and to herself to never give up on life and to keep pushing no matter how hard things get.

Lucas- Oh no!

Lucas feels like failing is the worst thing that he can do, so I felt like this song fit him.

Celeste- girls like me don’t cry

This is a very girly pop song, and Celeste is the type to try and push down her emotions, so this fits.

Lucien- Burned Out

Lucien has lived his entire life being put on a pedestal by others (especially his mom) and tries so hard to fulfill others’ expectations of him, so this makes sense.

Xavier- Fun and Forget

Xavier has a very fun personality and tends to jump into things head first without entirely thinking, so yeah :)

I don't think i have songs for my individual characters as their personalities and roles are still evolving.

I don't hate Ai because of the negative effects it has on the environment (I'd be an hypocrite if i say so because, the mere fact that i use a smartphone has an equally damaging effect to the environment)

I hate Ai because it has no restrictions. It is allowed to steal and to be used 'artistically'. Those companies wants people to be so dependent on ai that once they roll out the high pay subscriptions, people would have no other choice than to pay. It strips people of the choice on whether they want it or not e.g the tiktok ai roll-out with no option of turning it off and the google ai feature

And worst of all, it is not going anywhere. For the people waiting for the ai bubble to pop and everyone will go back to using their brains, unfortunately it doesn't work like that (Do your research on the internet bubble that burst. The internet is still here, isn't it?)

All we can hope for are legal regulations. That is why rather than ai ban people should push for legal regulations, not only constitutionally but also institutionally. For example, the film and music industry should have restrictions for ai uses

Ai will always have it's positive uses, assistive ai has always existed e.g spell checks and the likes, AI VFX is also an extremely misunderstood assistive tool

So always fight for regulations not bans.

I feel so stuck.

I know writer's block is a common thing but I'm just so frustrated.

I haven't ben able to write a single scene in my book since February. I keep telling myself just write something, ANYTHING. Anytime i open my laptop it's like my mind is wiped clean. Why is this happening to me?

To grow my social media pages, task impossible. To draw anything, task impossible. To write my Batman fic that i have literally finished the draft, task impossible. To just do, task impossible.

It is well-known (by which I mean, I have long ago accepted this about myself) that my reading stuff in a genre and writing stuff in a genre are completely divorced from each other. My debut novel is an urban fantasy and I haven't read an urban fantasy book in 15 years. My next book is a vampire novel and I have read exactly one vampire novel (Dracula). I don't consider this a problem because my aim is not to be in conversation with the genre, my aim is to do my own happy little thing and we'll see what happens with it.

However

I now realise that this means I have completely skewed ideas of what is or isn't "common" in certain genres. I'll see a post that says "why is X the most common trope/relationship type/plot twist in genre Y?" and I'll be like OMG is it?? Brand new information! Who's been doing all this then?
