A bit confusing i know. but Horikoshi made a comment that chapter 430 is the official ending of the series and that chapter 431 is him letting go of the characters to do whatever they want. He apparently helped write the chapter but it wasn’t completely him so that makes it technically not canon but also canon.

BASICALLY CHAPTER 431 IS UP FOR GRABS AS TO WHETHER YOU WANT IT TO BE CANON OR NOT I THINK.

with that being said….its not canon for me cause wtf?? DEKU SAYING NO TO KACCHAN ASKING HIM TO JOIN HIS HERO AGENCY???? HELLLOOOO??? ITS FAKEEEE.

Also that dab up at the end does not even show any romantic feelings. i feel if the canon ship was really deku and ochako they would’ve at least hugged or something. It felt more like a symbolic gesture of their friendship to me but that’s just my opinion on the matter.

Plus just to mention neither character is ready for any type of relationship whatsoever. Deku is still trying to find his way in life as a quirkless hero and ochako has a mission to see through on quirk discrimination. There’s no way they would get together anytime soon if they even did like each other like that (Which i don’t believe they do anyways)

I’m a bakudeku shipper so i’m definitely biased but even so i don’t think they would get together anytime soon anyways as well. Like I said Izuku is going through a lot and if he did like Katsuki he wouldn’t pursue it base on that fact alone. Also he’s dense. It would take a miracle for them to get together. (but that’s why we have miracles workers on ao3 to make it happen for us)

Long story short this is just my opinion on the last chapter (even tho it doesn’t matter and i love everything about the story no matter what bullshit i say) I just use the account to yap so please don’t come on here too strongly cause it doesn’t matter anyways at the end of the day whose right or wrong. This was such a journey and while i will keep posting fics im so sad that there will be no more manga updates.

Or maybe they will continue the story in another manga and i can just forget i made this post.
