          Her days became nothing more than history repeating, whilst exhaustion held her unsure of timely length that had passed. That was the thing about paranoia; the lack of sleep and a steady structure caused every day to blur into one. Confusion.

                      Of course, Katherine couldn’t forget what had happened; despite how much she may have wanted to. Still wearing the visible injuries that stemmed from the car crash— and even that was no more than an impulsive decision to buy her a little time, that could’ve gone two ways.

          From there, she walked. Slowly; as the every step was a pained effort. But, never once did she stop without good reason. Once; to get herself properly clothed and out of that thin bathrobe that barely covered her numb skin, with what little money she managed to scrape from the Boarding House. Twice; to call her fail-safe, after she’d finally came across a payphone.

               The phone call wasn’t the first of the summer, Katherine had already informed the receiver of her present situation; words she thought she’d never have to say. Now, it was simply contact to seek confirmation that her friend was close by— and, thankfully, the distance between them was currently not too far.

                                 So, she waited.

                Some time later, the human jolted at the sound of Imogen’s voice; grateful for her arrival, her presence acted as a postponed sigh of relief. Almost counteracting her shock, for her hearing had weakened, leaving every sign of company as a sickly surprise.

      There wasn’t much that could shock Imogen, as a 700+ year old vampire she was convinced she’d seen it all; however, standing there and watching a dear associate battered and bruised with zero chance of healing at a pace they felt accustom to, she knew things would drastically begin to change.

And Imogen, as they both knew, was never the type to enjoy in the idea of change.

[he chuckles.]

Expel? Sure, of course. But then I'm sure you'll find a way to recover it late at night when you're bored and lonely, right?

[ She shrugged her shoulders. ]

Something about having to study for finales next week--

[ With a light shrug of her shoulders, she glances towards the door, anticipating an abrupt arrival from her mother any minute now. ]

I swear she won't shut up about it. She thinks I won't graduate, which is fucking insane because-- I've gotten pretty decent grades all year.

[ She looks back to her computer screen. ]

… can I plead the fifth? Uh… the sex face was ‘faux’? It really didn’t look that faux to me, but what would I know?

…yeah. You looked hot in it, whatever.

I expect a guy like you would know a lot, unless you forgot that in order for it to be a real sex face, I'd have to be having sex while making it. But you know--I'm not.
