                  “---- My day? Really? That’s too sweet of you, Ali, thank you!” His smile was huge, hand placed strategically underneath his chin whilst the angel imitated a ruminating sort of pose. “I would love some gelato, really! Can we do that?” Cue the hopeful, doe-like eyes.

I mean, I am here, aren’t I? I’ll                               always be here for you, sentiment and all.”

Teddy, the little angel in her life, was someone that Will liked to think she knew inside and out. The boy she had considered her little brother ever since Uncle Hunter had taken him in. (Ever since the fish-sticks incident with the young Johnson-Ward Twins, Will was wary of her uncle’s children raising skills and kept a close eye on Teddy. ) So when the boy started to push around the food in front of him, the older woman was already on alert, popping the question before she could even stop herself. The apology that reached her ears nearly had her frowning, but she just tilted her head and kept her expression warm.  “Teddybear, it’s okay to feel that way. You’re in a new place and there’s a lot going on. Have you met anyone new yet? Or talked to the other SHIELD kids?”

                 Wilhelmina was a gentle soul to the fragile angel, something he appreciated      greatly given the nature of his biological ( and re-adopted ) father. After the death      of the twins’ adoptive parents, S.H.I.E.L.D. had taken the young Theodore back      in with open arms, and it seemed as though the angel fledgling latched immediately      onto the Mackenzie, who’d been warm and receptive of the young boy. So it was      easy to say she knew him, understood him, and that’s how she could discern      something was bothering him, Teddy knew. But he didn’t want to spoil their      dinner. Nor did he want to worry her. So he tried desperately to avoid the      questions. “Yes and yes! What about you, Will? How’s school going for you?                                                                                   Are you liking your classes?”
