“If not, I would offer you some work but alas, I lack the money and resources myself! But perhaps... you could follow in my footsteps and consider becoming a fellow vigilante!”

“Well my fur’d friend! I keep this scraf with me at all times, why you might ask? Simply because this scarf is a symbol of my pride as a fully trained shinobi and a man of Ikaruga!” 

Bang holds out the jar of fluff to his former foe, perhaps if he tried some of this he too could realize how delicious this wonder truly is!

“Can I try too?! can I!? can I!?”

After taking one more scoop of fluff with his index finger and putting in his mouth, Bang happily holds out the jar of fluff towards the girl, eagerly awaiting to see this child’s reaction.

“W-wha?!”

“HEY! STOP! YOU DAMN DIRTY THIEF!”

“I agree! This whole thing is ridiculous! What that Gavin did was a crime, and what’s done can’t be undone, but this ain’t the way you punish someone. As a demon, I cannot let these people go around deciding who lives and who dies without giving them a chance to repay their sins!

... Wait, did this child say he was a... demon? Perhaps I just misheard him! Yes, yes, that had to be it! 

“I stand by my master’s teachings! Whether if this was chosen by the people or not, this execution cannot go through! I don’t care if death here isn’t permanent, the mental scarring and trauma IS.”

With a heavy heart and a weary sigh, Lucca lowered her head to reflect on the man’s words.

“I… I really don’t want to think about them like that. I know I’m away from my friends and family, and I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye… but I know I can pick up right where I left off, and there could be a lot of good coming out of this experiment! Why, with all the knowledge and technology available to us, we could go back and make our worlds a better place!”

“No matter how good their intentions they may be, it does not change the fact they committed these heinous acts by stripping us of our abilities and kidnapping us under our noses!” 

“That alone makes them villains!”

Bang himself let out a soft sigh seeing the distress in this girl’s eyes, he didn’t want to completely shatter this girl’s viewpoint and let her fall into distress. What sort of man would he be if he made a young woman cry?! She did make valid points about the usefulness of this technology. This ‘internet’ alone was something absolutely amazing.

“But... villains or not, you are correct on how extraordinary this technology is. It could bring good to all of our lands if used wisely!” 

"I suppose.... if these villains had completely ill intentions, they wouldn’t allow us to walk freely and they would’ve harmed us when we were vulnerable.”

Technology like this could easily help him and his people rebuild Ikaruga to his former glory, which by all means he supported! But at the same time, he nor did anybody else knew anything about these scientists. And with the actions they committed already, the last thing these people deserved was trust.
