Gotta love a good summer fun filler episode! Just a chill (albeit very hot) day at Gelato Beach. 🏖️

Before c2e2 last month, I was debating on what new prints I could crank out before the show. Since I have a lot of 4 x 6 photo paper, I figured a mini print set was in order. And what could possibly be more fun than drawing cutesy pinups of the Mario girls at the beach??? It was a no brainer. I just made these available to buy at my store. Here's a link!

Halfway through drawing these, I was like ok, who the FUCK is taking these pictures. I could only think of one character. So I drew a little something something extra, and I made it a bonus sticker for the set. You can see it under the read more: (As well as the uncolored pencil drawings for all four prints)

Originally, the Chinese translation of Kamek's threat to Mario in Super Mario Galaxy had him telling Mario to go to hell, which was removed later.

Top: in the intro to Super Mario Galaxy, Mario manages to hold onto Peach's Castle as it is lifted up into space. However, Kamek appears and blasts Mario away with the words "So long! Enjoy your flight!"

Bottom left: in the 2018 Chinese Nvidia Shield port of Super Mario Galaxy, Kamek tells Mario "永别啦!下地狱吧!", which translates roughly to "Goodbye forever! Go to hell!"

Bottom right: in the Nintendo Switch version, which was a new translation into Chinese, Kamek now says "你就给我在地上打滚吧!" which translates roughly to "Go roll on the ground!", removing the harsh wording of the original translation.

Unused early “star dance” (animation that would play after Mario collects a Power Star) found in internal files for Super Mario 64. Unlike the finished game’s animation, this one is an actual dance instead of a simple twirl.
