Okay pause Iโve been inactive from posting for a while but this came up on my feed and I felt the need to correct some things:

No?? Jensen doesnโt hate fans for headcanoning Dean as queer, heโs said multiple times that youโre welcome to come up with whatever theories you want regarding the character. He only draws the line when fiction bleeds into reality, specifically when it has to do with him and Misha (more on that later).
โwhy is Jensen, the actor, uncomfortable at the thought of playing a queer character?โ
Heโs not. He played an openly bisexual character in the film Blonde (terrible movie imo, but I digress), and he used to play into Destiel at conventions, until certain fans made it weird. People began to ask him sexual questions regarding not only Destiel, but about Misha/Jensen (Iโll try to track down specific panels and timestamps if youโre actually interested), and THATS why he doesnโt give the ship any attention anymore.

No it does fuckinโ not ๐คฃ๐. Jensen has been a successful actor since Days of Our Lives, and yes, Supernatural itself has given him a ton of recognition, but in no way was that solely because of Destiel. Heโs had tons of projects since Spn ended, I promise you heโs BEEN rich.
Misha on the other hand, capitalizes off of Destiel. Itโs pretty much all he talks about, because he hasnโt really had that much of a career after Spn wrapped. In the kindest way possible, yโall need to hop off that high horse.

Exactly. The character who is separate from Jensen. Heโs been asked the same question (just like the other person said) over and over for years, and heโs said the same thing; Do what you want with the characters, theyโre not real. Theyโre paper dolls that you can dress up and ship with whoever you want.
After years of him saying that, Iโm not shocked he finally replied with the obvious โWell itโs not canon!โ. But that doesnโt make him homophobic ๐ญ heโs shown full support for the LGBTQIA+ community more than heโs said โDestiel isnโt canonโ.
"he said its fanfiction" and why is Jensen getting angry at that? Why does that make him fear that he is getting sexualized? Oh, but portraying Dean as a ladies' man is fine, that isn't sexualization. But God forbid he wants to hold cas' hands, oh, that would absolutely sexualize dean's actor.โ
I could ask you the same question.. itโs fanfiction, thatโs literally all it is. As far as โwhy does it make him fear heโs being sexualizedโ, is because again, yโall canโt separate reality from fiction, and neither can Misha. It would be one thing if fans were JUST shipping the characters, because thatโs what it started out asโฆ then suddenly people started incorporating Jensen himself into the shipping, and thatโs where it got messy.
Dean is canonically a ladies man, yes, sure. That doesnโt mean you canโt ship him with men, and Jensen never said otherwise. Really, I think heโs just sick of fans badgering him with the same question and expecting a different answer.
TL-DR: Jensen doesnโt hate queer fans, Jensen also doesnโt hate fans who ship his character with other men. Jensen hates fans begging him to validate there non-canon ship, and getting mad when he says itโs in fact not canon
