𝒂  𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒔  𝒖𝒑   …   this  is  a  heavily  canon   -   divergent  version  of  hoyoverse's  mona  megistus.   due  to  their  inability  to  add  her  into  any  of  the  archon  stories,  quest  lines  and  more,  i've  decided  to  properly  give  them  [   hoyo  and  genshin   ]  a  middle  finger  and  take  the  five  star  catalyst  hydromancer  and  make  her  into  my  own.   a  carnival  performer  who's  the  tether  between  the  hexenzirkel  and  harbingers   ;   a  proper  recreation  that  means  she's  has  more  of  a  personality,  more  wit  and  bite.   inspiration  for  her  recreation  comes  from  the  following   :   appalachian  folklore,  fae  superstitions,  as  well  as  hand   -   crafted  lore.

𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔  𝒊𝒏   …   seeing  into  the  unknown,  carnival  lights,  performing  for  others,  indulging  in  trinkets,  self  ascension,  defying  the  will  of  the  archons,  the  reflection  of  cassandra,  tarot  cards  and  truth   -   telling,  being  left  behind  by  friends  and  family,  covens,  the  perpetual  hunger  for  love  and  knowledge  in  a  heartless  ignorant  world.

it's  been   …   what   ?   a  little  under  an  hour  since  he  left.   right   ?   to  be  fair,  mona's  been  getting  in  over  her  head   ;   or,  as  lohen  likes  to  [   humorously   ]  call  it  ‘   going  ass  over  tea  kettle   ’   —   he's  not  wrong,  but  mona's  been  busy.   she  can't  be  faulted  for  her  research  into  the  gates  of  hell.   but,  then  again,  she's  been  keen  to  avoid  disturbances.   but  lohen's  the  kind  of  disturbance  mona  almost  needs.   especially  when  she's  been  chewing  on  her  pen  for  the  last  twenty  minutes.

her  phone  pings  and  (   for  but  a  moment   )  does  she  have  to  wrack  through  her  brain  the  who  that's  texting  her.   it's  late.   right   ?   the  sun's  barely  setting.   oh,  so  it's  not  that  late.   she  just   …   —   well,  she  was  a  bit  lost  in  the  moment.   which  makes  sense  as  to  why  hill's  texting  her.   a  string  of  texts  and  she  just  stopped  responding.   for  now,  mona  will  blame   …   something,  but  she  won't  give  hill  an  honest  answer.   not  unless  he  begs.

when  it  comes  to  the  creation  of  mona,  she  takes  inspiration  from  women  in  mixed  media   \   video  games,  movies,  etc. 

poor  things   \   bella  baxter   —   the  concept  of  being  ‘   reborn   ’   ;   the  beauty  of  being  able  to  be  alive  despite  the  circumstances.   for  those  who  didn't  watch  the  movie,  or  haven't  read  the  novel,  bella  baxter  is  a  beautifully  crafted  frankenstein  re   -   telling  wherein  she  learns,  through  experience,  the  novelty  of  her  autonomy.   considering  that  mona  is  the  necromanced  witch,  she  goes  through  a  familiar  situation   ;   learning  through  the  world  and  eyes  of  others  how  to  live  and  be.

wuthering  waves   \   camellya   —   much  like  mona  being  a  harbinger,  camellya  isn't  someone  who  gives  a  damn  about  her  placement  in  the  black  shores.   she's  just  there  to  have  fun,  be  hedonistic.   in  my  mind,  mona   🤝🏼  camellya   :   one  in  the  same.

marvel   \   wanda  maximoff   —   when  it  comes  to  how  mona  uses  her  abilities  [   hydromancy,  with  a  hint  of  her  electro  vision   ]  much  like  how  wanda  uses  hers   :   the  delicate,  to  an  almost  twitchy   -   like  movement.   mona  mirrors  that,  but  rather  than  have  it  be  in  red,  it's  (   obviously   )  a  more  blue   -   tinted  colour.

forbidden  fruits   \   apple   —   the  iconic  line  ‘   i  know  yesterday  was  wack.   but  it's  really  not  my  fault  because  i  googled  it  and  mercury  was  in  retrograde,  so  there  you  go.   ’   :   mona's  100%  the  kind  of  person  to  say  this  and  have  proof  that  she  wasn't  in  the  wrong.   also,  much  like  apple,  she  killed  her  father  so   …   !

ted  lasso   \   keeley   —   the  cheery  disposition  mixed  with  bella's  mindset  and  a  touch  of  apple's  confidence.   the  three  (   least  to  me   )  thread  well  into  one  another  and,  collectively  so,  make  mona  who  she  is.

mother  mary   \   mary's  costumes   —   not  a  personality  aspect,  but  when  it  comes  to  mary's  costumes,  mona  would  [   without  a  shadow  of  doubt   ]  wear  a  good  majority  of  the  fits  we  get  a  glimpse  of.

marvel   \   kurt  wagner   —   comes  more  so  in  his  abilities.   but  i  can  definitely  see  mona  (   maybe  in  another  life   )  having  some  trouble  with  religion  versus  freedom  to  be.
