* 𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐮 / 𝒃𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒖

      𝚒𝚝  𝚖𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝  𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝  be  the  insecurities  from  past  relationships  slipping  through  .  she  often  forgets  how  different  they  can  be  .  fallon’s  always  had  a  sense  of  direction  .  even  when  she  took  a  break  from  the  spy  world  ,  she  immediately  knew  what  she  was  going  to  do  .  she  listens  intently  and  sits  up  straighter  .  “  i  just  don’t  want  to  push  you  into  something  you  might  not  want  to  do  ,  ”  she  admits  .  “  especially  with  summer  coming  up  and  our  plans  aren’t  necessarily  set  in  stone  .  ”

      𝚜𝚑𝚎  𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚜  𝚝𝚘  think  about  it  for  a  moment  ,  letting  her  eyes  trail  over  to  the  wings  kiki  is  sporting  .  “  hmm  ,  i  guess  that  could  work  ,  ”  she  says  ,  turning  to  the  side  .  “  i’ve  already  got  some  light  gold  accents  on  this  dress  and  i’ll  match  nate  even  more  .  so  just  clip  them  on  and  see  how  it  looks  .  i’m  sure  we  can  fix  it  if  it  looks  wonky  .  ”

      “  𝚒’𝚕𝚕  𝚊𝚍𝚖𝚒𝚝  𝚒𝚝’𝚜  not  something  i  considered  until  recently  ,  ”  she  admits.  fallon  was  certain  that  nate  would  say  yes  to  the  idea  .  but  she  didn’t  want  to  come  off  as  overbearing  .  “  hey  !  i  felt  like  it  was  better  to  ask  than  assume  ,  ”  she  pouts  .  “  and  for  all  i  know  ,  you  could’ve  ended  up  changing  your  mind  .  ”  or  it’s  an  issue  of  pride  but  she  opts  not  to  say  that  .  “  but  would  you  seriously  go  with  me  ?  ”

      “  𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎  𝚢𝚘𝚞’𝚛𝚎  𝚝𝚑𝚎  one  who  went  ahead  and  fell  in  love  with  me  .  ”  it’s  not  her  fault  she  can  be  charming  and  irresistible  !  she  didn’t  do  anything  .  “  he  is  a  TERRIBLE  spy  .  he  can’t  even  manage  to  keep  his  cover  or  lay  low  .  ”  he’s  a  liability  if  anything  .  “  listen  ,  i  could  be  a  villain  .  just  give  me  a  moment  so  i  can  have  a  whole  origin  story  ,  ”  she  jokes  ,  lightly  swaying  to  the  music  .  “  okay  i  think  you’re  a  little  biased  there  .  ”

      “  𝚒  𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎  𝚝𝚘  save  some  of  the  drama  for  everyone  else  !  ”  she  jokingly  points  out  .  but  a  girl  gets  tired  of  planning  dramatic  entrances  .  “  pretty  sure  that’s  not  a  sign  .  he  doesn’t  have  a  height  complex  so  that’s  gotta  count  for  something  .  ”  it’s  not  that  nate  is  short  ,  it’s  just  that  she  happens  to  be  taller  than  him  when  she  wears  heels  .

       𝚏𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚗  𝚠𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚜  𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑  bated  breath  .  eyes  shift  from  her  boyfriend  to  the  infirmary  bed  .  while  she  likes  to  think  she  knows  nate  well  enough  ,  there’s  a  sliver  of  doubt  that  he  may  not  want  her  help  .  “  i  can’t  make  any  promises  ,  ”  she  starts  ,  turning  back  to  face  him  .  “  but  i  think  i’ve  got  some  contacts  and  i  can  try  to  pull  some  strings  and  see  what  they  say  .  ”  catches  her  bottom  lip  between  her  teeth  .  “  would  that  be  okay  with  you  ?  ”

     “  𝚒  𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕  𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎  that’s  kind  of  on  you  .  ”  it’s  nice  to  know  their  dynamic  hasn’t  changed  that  much  .  it’s  not  like  they’re  big  on  public  displays  of  affection  .  fallon  just  roasts  him  even  more  now  .  but  it’s  all  out  of  love  .  she  takes  his  hand  and  starts  leading  him  to  the  dance  floor  .  “  okay  i  resent  that  .  i’d  make  a  way  better  spy  than  bond  .  ”  she  practically  glides  to  a  stop  ,  letting  her  arms  wrap  around  his  neck  .  “  plus  ,  i  think  i  look  better  in  a  suit  than  he  does  .  ”

      𝚜𝚑𝚎  𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜𝚗’𝚝  𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝  to  argue  about  this  ,  and  she  definitely  doesn’t  mean  to  .  fallon  knows  it’s  serious  ,  but  she’s  also  trying  to  assure  nate  that  these  things  happen  .  so  for  now  ,  they’re  just  going  to  have  to  agree  to  disagree  .  “  i  was  just  thinking  about  finding  a  way  to  shorten  your  sentence  .  ”  she’ll  admit  that  it’s  a  little  selfish  on  her  part  ,  but  she’s  not  assuming  that  nate  will  follow  her  to  london  .  “  so  that  you’re  able  to  leave  when  i  graduate  .  ”

      𝚑𝚎𝚛  𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍  𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚜  towards  the  punch  bowl  before  pulling  back  at  orion’s  words  .  “  okay  good  to  know  .  thanks  ,  ”  she  smiles  at  her  friend  .  “  i  guess  i’ll  stick  to  the  bar  for  a  drink  .  ”  she  reaches  for  a  cupcake  instead  .  “  are  you  having  a  good  time  ?  ”

       “  𝚒  𝚍𝚘𝚗’𝚝  𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠  .  i  feel  like  it  might  be  a  bit  much  with  this  outfit  ,  ”  fallon  hums  .  “  then  again  ,  it  also  depends  on  how  the  wings  look  .  it’s  not  like  i’m  dressed  as  a  saint  .  ”

      “  𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚎  𝚋𝚞𝚝  𝚢𝚘𝚞  𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎  𝚖𝚎  .  ”  not  to  get  all  soft  but  it  does  put  a  smile  on  her  lips  to  know  that  nate  loves  her  .  she  tilts  her  head  to  the  side  ,  corners  of  her  lips  curl  up  into  a  smile  .  “  oh  so  i’m  just  giving  you  bond  girl  vibes  is  that  it  ?  ”  she  teases  .  “  although  ,  we  both  know  i’m  more  than  capable  of  holding  my  own  in  a  fight  so  ...  ”  she  trails  off  ,  stopping  when  she  notices  the  change  in  music  .  “  do  you  wanna  dance  ?  ”

      “  𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝  𝚠𝚎  𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠  𝚘𝚏  .  ”  this  isn’t  helping  her  case  ,  but  she’s  trying  to  prove  another  point  !  and  the  point  is  ,  she’s  already  prepared  for  the  potential  dangers  of  being  a  spy  .  fallon  knows  he’s  right  when  he  says  she  can’t  make  that  promise  .  it’s  foolish  to  assume  nothing  will  go  wrong  ,  but  she  isn’t  reckless  .  eyes  flicker  down  to  their  hands  .  her  thumb  lightly  brushes  against  his  knuckle  for  a  moment  before  she  looks  back  up  .  “  what  if  you  weren’t  ?  ”  nibbles  on  her  bottom  lip  .  “  what  if  you  didn’t  have  to  spend  those  two  years  without  me  ?  ”

      “  𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔  𝚢𝚘𝚞  !  ”  fallon  beams  at  her  friend  .  even  if  the  theme  didn’t  end  up  being  saints  and  sinners  ,  it  wasn’t  going  to  stop  her  from  wearing  this  particular  dress  .  eyes  can’t  help  but  trail  over  faith’s  outfit  .  “  but  let’s  talk  about  your  dress  !  i  love  it  .  i  take  it  you're  here  as  both  saint  and  sinner  ?  ”

      𝚝𝚑𝚎  𝚕𝚊𝚜𝚝  𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐  fallon  expects  is  to  be  pulled  away  from  nate  .  but  she’s  being  pulled  away  by  nur  so  it’s  fine  !  she  laughs  at  her  comment  before  turning  to  face  her  .  “  uhh  yeah  ,  okay  .  umm  ,  did  you  bring  any  touch  up  products  with  you  ?  we  can  definitely  salvage  it  .  it’s  not  even  noticeable  !  ”
