It had been a long day of lectures behind you but now you were finally returning to the beautiful apartment that you felt your phone buzz a couple of times in your bag, placing it on the small table in the hallway to your apartment and rummaging through the mess until you found the device.
As you glanced at the screen you were surprised to see that there was a message sitting there from Jack Wilshere's fiancé Andriani, you were unsure of how she actually got your number.
'Hey, all of us girls were planning on going out tonight for some dinner and maybe some wine too, we were just wondering if the new girl wanted to join us?'
You felt your stomach tighten as you looked down at the words and you entire body jolted as you felt a set of arms wrap around your waist and your reaction actually made a laugh tumble from your boyfriend's mouth. “Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.” Calum announced, pressing a kiss to your jawline. “Who are you texting? Your other boyfriend?” He teased.
“Ha. Ha.” You responded before turning in his arms and wrapping your arm around his body and hugging into him for a long couple of seconds. “It was actually Andriani...” You glanced up at your boyfriend to see a slightly confused look crossing his light features. “I swear, Calum, you have the worst memory...” You snorted shaking your head which only made him grin. “We meet her at the Arsenal Foundation party? Jack's new fiancé?” You attempted to remind him.
This seemed to put all the pieces together for him. “Ah, I remember.” Then the two of you headed into the living room, taking a seat on the sofa and just sitting there for a moment before Calum finally question. “So, what is it that Andriani wanted?”
“Well, she wanted me to come out for a drink and meal tonight with the rest of...” You tried to find another word for what you were trying to avoid saying. “The other...”
The blond smirked. “WAGs?” You gave him a look. “It isn't a dirty word, you know that you can say it, right?” You frown softly and nod your head. “You are my girlfriend. You do fall into the category.” He smirked, leaning forward and tucking a piece of your hair behind you ear which made you smile softly.
“I know, I know... I just feel like WAGs get such a bad name, you know?” He nodded softly. “Each one of them are so pretty. Some of them even semi-naked for all other men to see and... and when I was in school never wanted that.” You gestured to the apartment around you. “I may not be married to you, but I've fallen into this life.”
Calum watched you for a moment before questioning. “Is this not what you want? Do you not want to be with me because I'm a footballer?”
You were quick to place both of your hands on his shoulders and look at him with a panicked look in your eyes. “No, no. That isn't what I am trying to say.” You shake your head, closing your eyes. “Sorry, that came out all wrong...” You let out a breathy sigh escape your lips. “I would love you no matter what your career is, I just... I don't feel like I'm... enough.”
As you reopened your eyes there was another look of confusion playing on your boyfriends face. “Enough for what?”
“For everyone.” Then you lowered your tone. “For you.” Once again you signed. “Look at everyone of your teammates, they have a gorgeous woman on their arm, most of them leading amazing careers and being amazing mums.” You paused for a moment. “I'm just me...” You shrugged.
“Are you serious?” Calum's voice was small now before this time he was the one to reach across and cup both of your cheeks, gazing directly into your eyes. “I know that you haven't figured out what you want to do yet, but you have plenty of time to do that. We both have more than enough time to have kids and... and as for not being pretty enough.” A hard kiss was pressed to your lonely lips.
The two of you shared a passionate moment before finally pulling away and his loving gaze stared directly at you. “I think that you are the most beautiful woman in the world and I would have you any other way.” There were tears welling up in your eyes now as you gnawed softly on your swollen lower lip.

It was late morning and you were sat relaxing on your comfortable sofa, munching happily on toast and scrolling down through your phone. Scanning your eyes across the bland new stories that were popping up on your news feed before your phone vibrated and dinged to alert you that you had received a new message from your friend.
As you opened your messages you clicked on the unread one and read. 'Hey, I thought you might want to see this... if you want to talk you know where I am...' Then you proceeded to open the link that came through as the new message.
For a moment you hesitated, the message had scared of initially and you were uncertain as to what you lying on the other side. Another second past before your thumb brushed against the link and it popped open to reveal something that made you sick to your stomach.
The picture was poorly lit but to you it wasn't hard to make out that Kevin was the one the phone had been pointed at. He was pressed up close to a beautiful looking model-like woman who was clinging to him, dressed scantily clothed and leaning her head upwards as if to kiss him.
A sudden rush of hotness came to your cheeks as you felt a wave of anger wash over you. Everyone had warned you about the fickleness of football players when you had first began dating Kevin and you had assured each of their worries that your boyfriend was different, you shared something special and it was meant to last and here Kevin was throwing all of those words back in your face.
It was going to be a hour or so before he arrived back home at the home that you shared together and there wasn't a single part of you that wanted to be there when he returned. Instead you rose up and ran upstairs to begin packing your bag, giving your friend a call and asking if it was okay to stay with her until you got the courage to talk to Kevin.
As you arrived at your friends house she gave you a long hug, rubbing your back and offering to go down the road to the little coffee shop and grab you a frothy drink. It was something that you agreed to because you wanted more than anything to be alone with your thoughts, although you were sure that was dangerous.
You sat on her sofa and stared blankly at the picture over and over, it was hard to make out the truth, of course you didn't know what Kevin was feeling and didn't know what this woman was whispering to him.
It hurt because a club had been the place where you had first met Kevin, although at the time you had both been single, no attachments and no worries about hurting anyone. You remembered the next morning waking up and this gorgeous man laying there beside you, snoring lightly and being incredibly hard to wake from his slumber.
The two of you had gone for breakfast after that, the two of you shared information about each others lives and that was when you had learnt the truth. It had shocked you to know that Kevin was this football player playing for one of the biggest teams in Europe and being good at his trade.
That had made you more interesting in him and Kevin was very intrigued by you too. After that you attended his every game, even buying a goal keeper jersey and wearing it each time that you saw him play, wearing his name proudly on your back. It wasn't long until Kevin asked you to be his girlfriend and shortly after that the two of you moved in.
You were brought out of your train of thought by the sound of your phone ringing beside you, glancing down and grabbing the device before sighing as you saw Kevin's name pop up on the screen. With a sigh you slide your finger across the screen to accept his call and hold it to your ear. “Hello, Kevin.”
“Did you see the picture?” There was a tone to his voice which was filled with guilt and it made your heart ache in your chest. “Please, come home. I need to talk with you. I need a chance to explain please.” He was practically beginning and it made your stomach tense, you didn't like where this was going.
“I just need some time-” “Please.” There was a hoarse breathiness to his voice which made you cave. “Fine. Fine.” You whimpered, closing your eyes and berating yourself to being so weak to his charms. “Fine.” Then hung up and threw your phone down beside you once again, covering your eyes with your hands and shaking your head.
It was a short ride back to your home and you climbed from the car and just stared at the house for a long couple of seconds. This was the place that you had made so many memories in and something you didn't want to give up. You were happy here and you were very happy with Kevin.
Pushing open the door you immediately heard footsteps, Kevin's head popped around the corner and you saw the look on his face. His beard was unusually unkempt and his eyes had dark rings under them. “I was hoping that I would see you before you saw the pictures. I wanted a chance to explained.”
“Do you know what I was feeling when I saw them?” You hissed. “To receive a picture of you in a club only hours after we had been talking in the phone?” He pursed his lips and lowered his head. “Do you remember what you told me that night? I do. I remember you said that you were going to have a early night and didn't want to go out.”
“I didn't want to.” Kevin replied and you only narrowed your eyes and shook your head. “I wanted to go out, but I didn't... I didn't...” He was struggling to find the words as he moved closer towards you. “I know that it is hard to believe me, but please you have to know that I didn't even kiss that woman.”
It was then that you realised that tears were trickling down your cheeks. “You two looked pretty close in that club.” You used your sleeve to dry away the tears. “Do you remember when we went back to a hotel room together after meeting at a club? Why wouldn't you do the same with another woman?”
“Because I'm in love with you.” The words sprung from his mouth and took both of you off guard but Kevin didn't stop. “I pushed her away. I told her that I was taken, in love with someone else, with you.” Then he took another step towards you and closed the short distance that was left. “I know it's hard to believe me, but... but I would never do anything to hurt you, I would never be able to forgive myself.”
You lowered your head to the ground before feeling his hand under your chin, pulling you to be looking up at him. “I love you.” The words were intense on his lips and in moments they were attaches to yours in a moment of passion, which you fell into with ease. “We can get through this. Please tell me we can get through this.”
“Don't lie to me again.” You whimpered against this full lips as he nodded. “We can get through this.” You repeated.

There was an unusual silence around the house that hadn't been there for so long, it had taken hours but you had finally be able to put Adrián down for his afternoon nap. The entire day had completely exhausted you, especially as you had been up half the night trying to coax him back into a peaceful slumber.
Deep down you understood why Neymar hadn't been able to help you with Adrián in the middle of the night, there were early morning training sessions to think about but you were at a breaking point.

A wave of sadness pulled over you as you began to read the nasty things people were writing about you. It has been this way since you had began your relationship with Neymar, people accusing you of only wanting his money, not loving him and Neymar being too good to be with someone as ordinary as you.
A breathy sign escaped your lips as you went to observe another picture of you and Neymar holding little Adrián. It made another smile pull across your lips before you noticed the comments once again, spiteful haters calling you filthy names that you would never even dare to utter to someone and worst of all they were making comments about your weight.
Those were the words that stung the most. It was something that you had felt incredibly insecure about since having Adrián. You pressed the lock button on your phone and threw it beside you on the couch before gathering up a large fluffy cushion and laying down to begin sobbing into it.
It was like the floodgates had opened and you were unable to stop yourself, tears rolling down your cheeks contentiously. The sound of the front door opening startled you, pushing yourself to be sitting upright and drying your eyes quickly with the sleeve to your shirt and sniffling heavily.
Neymar rounded the corner into the living room and saw you sitting there with your back to him. “Hey, is Adrián asleep?” He quizzed, his voice was lowered as if not to wake his son, you only nodded not wanting to use your voice at the moment. “Okay, do you want some lunch? I was going to make something.”
You cleared your throat softly and then replied. “No, thanks, I'm okay.” But it was clear to Neymar that something was very wrong. A frown spread across his lips and he moved around the sofa to see that you were sat there with dark red rings around your eyes which were also bloodshot and puffy.
His heart pounded in his chest and moved to be sat beside you, wrapped his strong arms around you and hugging tightly. “What's wrong? Tell me what's wrong?” He implored in a desperate tone. “How long have you been like this?”
In a very coarse voice you explained everything to him, about the mean comments on social media and everything else that had been going on. “They don't know anything.” Neymar hissed, narrowing his eyes before looking up at you. “You are beautiful, smart, funny. Everything that I need. Everything that Adrián needs.”
Once again tears began to gather in your eyes. “But-”
“But nothing. There is nothing to left to be argued.” He cupped your face with both of his hands and made you gaze up into his warm green eyes for a long couple of seconds. “I don't care what those people have to say, I care about you and that is all that matters to me.” He pressed a hard kiss to your lips.
You sniffled softly and nodded. “I'm sorry for getting so emotional. I guess I'm just exhausted.” You whimpered.
“I know, I'm sorry. I've been lacking when it comes to Adrián.” He closed his eyes and shook his head before reopening them and looking back up at you. “I'm going to start doing more. I promise.” He pecked your lips. “I love you and we are in this together.” A small smile spread across your lips, his words hitting a special spot.
“I love you too.” You whimpered before nuzzling into his neck and allowing him to rub your back for a couple of moments before the sound of Adrián's wails came through the baby monitor you had placed beside you, Neymar was quick to jump up with a grin on his lips.
“You relax.” He pointed a stern finger at you. “I will go deal with our boy.” The way he launched himself up the stairs made you giggle. There was something about the way Neymar would grin and speak to you which would make you feel instantly better, not putting a moment of thought into what had been said online.

It seemed as if it had been a while since you had spent some quality time with your husband, the two of you were so busy with your jobs and taking care of your little girl Dana that your love life had just fallen to the sidelines, something that the two of you had promises to never happen was right in front of your eyes.
The two of you were very thankful when Jonathan's twin brother Giovani had offered to take his niece off your hands for the evening, giving the two of you some time to catch up and just be together for a single night. As much as you both adored your daughter it was something you had both been looking forward to.
It was a humid early evening as you were sat quietly in the master bedroom to the home that you shared with your little family. As you gazed in the large mirror, finishing off your make-up and styling you had to how you just like it the sound of the doorbell came ringing through the halls.
Next the excited sound of your daughter came rushing passed your open door and you caught sight of Dana sprinting towards the stairs with her father chasing behind her with a concerned look plastered across his facial features. Jonathan was quick to gather the small girl into his strong arms before she could even reach the first step.
Carefully you brushed past them both and headed down the stairwell and approaching the front door, unlocking it and opening it to reveal the friendly face of Giovani stood there. “Good evening, I am here to pick up a Princess for an enchanting evening of fine dining and Disney movies.”
It made a giggle escape your lips as you reached across and picked up and overnight bad. “We really are grateful that you offered to take Dana off our hands for the evening, Gio. It makes us feel safer knowing that she is with someone that we trust.” You gave him a thankful smile before passing the bag to him.
“You are welcome.” Giovani replied before seeing that Jonathan was approaching his daughter in his arms. “Ah, there is the regal Princess Dana.” He bowed playfully which made her giggle and jump from her father's arms and rushed over to give her Uncle Gio a big hug as he picked her up and rested her on his hip.
“Are you going to have fun with your Uncle Gio tonight, Dana?” Jonathan quizzed from where he stood beside you, resting his hand on your hip and squeezing softly.
Your daughter grinned and nodded. “Yes, we are going to have some much fun! We are going to stay up late and eat lots of sweets!” The girl giggled.
This made you laugh before responding. “Now Dana, I hope that you're not planning on staying up too late. I want you both to be in bed by a sensible time.” You pointed a finger at them both before they both pouted at you simultaneously at you, it made you and Jonathan laugh before you continued. “Off you go.” You leaned over and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“We'll see you tomorrow. Have a nice night, don't do anything I wouldn't do.” Giovani winked before turning around and heading down the pathway towards his car where he was chattering away to Dana casually.
To your surprise Jonathan took you to the restaurant where you had your first date with him, seeing it again brought back all kind of feelings which had stirred at the very beginning of your relationship, when everything was new and you were still not only discovering each other but yourselves too. Everything seemed so much simpler back then.
“So, tell me how has work been?” Jonathan questioned, tilting his head to the side with interest on his face. The two of you were sharing a large pizza between you as you began to inform him of a story that had occurred to you during the week where your boss had been unfair towards you.
It felt nice to have your husbands undivided attention for once, watching as his intense brown eyes were staring back at you. At a usual dinner the two of you would be trying to take care of Dana and feed yourselves, not having time to check on one another and then exhaustedly go to bed without so much as a word exchanged.
As you finished your story you slid your hand across the table and placed it on top of his, rubbing the skin for a moment before saying. “I miss this. I miss us.” Your stomach began to tighten with guilt. “I mean, I love Dana with every ounce of my being and I wouldn't have it any other way, but... but this has just reminded of our life before...” There was clear guilt on your face.
Jonathan leant across the table and pressed a quick kiss to your lips. “I understand, beautiful. I don't think either of us realised how much Dana would change our lives.” Then pecked your lips one more time. “We have to make a promise to ourselves that we won't allow ourselves to drift apart because I don't want to lose you.”
You desperately held back the tears that were gathering in your eyes and responded. “I never want to lose you either, Jonathan.” Then leant across and pressed a sensual kiss to his lips. “I love you and I love our daughter.” He grinned and returned the words.
It wasn't hard to see how lucky you were to have this family of yours and you were going to do everything possible to make sure that the three of you would be together and happy.
