If a trans woman tells you her pronouns are she/her, it's inappropriate and offensive to call her "they." If a trans man tells you his pronouns are he/him, it's inappropriate and offensive to call him "they." If a trans person tells you its pronouns are it/its, it's inappropriate and offensive to call it "they." Same for users of neopronouns.

Using they/them for others is only appropriate if you don't know their pronouns or if you know that they use they/them. If you know someone uses other pronouns, they/them pronouns can misgender/degender that person.

when I was younger, I got food poisoning. I was supposed to recover from it, but I wound up with a bunch of nasty medical conditions instead. I never imagined I would become disabled from food.

so I am really glad I have been able to help spread the word every now and then about food safety and recalls, since it hopefully means a few less people going through what I have.
