Known for its iconic red-soled shoes, the Christian Louboutin brand now looks set to make its mark in the beauty world, with news emerging today that the luxury label has joined forces with Batallure Beauty to launch a make-up line.

Described by Louboutin as “a natural extension” of the brand, the new line, titled Christian Louboutin Beauté, will undoubtedly appeal to fans of the iconic shoe range, which is favoured by the likes of Blake Lively, Victoria Beckham and Lady Gaga.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Christian Louboutin to translate his world-renowned creative vision into the luxury beauty world,” said Robin Burns, Chairman & Co-Founder of Batallure Beauty. “Wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes completely transforms a woman and Christian will bring that same transformative quality to women through his beauty products.”

In turn, Alexis Mourot, Christian Louboutin Chief Operating Officer and General Manager, said Batallure was the natural choice for the partnership. “Not only does (Batallure) have such great expertise in the beauty industry, but most importantly they share our values and global vision for the brand,” he said.

Louboutin himself expressed his delight over the partnership, saying, “I like to empower women and to be a part of creating beauty seems like the right next step.”

Team Image Factor can't get enough of the fabulous UK Harper’s Bazaar double cover of Cate Blanchett.

For the two covers, the star was snapped by  Alexi Lubomirski, in a Lanvin tuxedo dress and later in a Ralph Lauren, feathered dress.

The fashion crowd was out in full force last night to attend the launch of the fabulous fashion etailer site My-Wardrobe.

The Image Factor team were very chuffed to meet Sarah Curran, CEO of the online boutique my-wardrobe.

We're very excited and wish Sarah and her team loads of success and well wishes.

What is even more amazing is that the craftsmanship that goes into creating all the separate invisible settings of each piece.

From rings to necklaces and even tennis bracelets are simply stunning.

With more man hours to create each piece, they still cost less than a 1 Carat Diamond single piece.
