Disney Channel - on the set of Captain America: Civil War
Thanks @lostinastainedglassdaydream for the heads up.
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo
âThe artwork, which debuted in âTotal Filmâ magazine, showcases Captain America and Iron Manâs teams as they pair off and fight each other in classic Marvel Comics style. Additionally, the captions for each throwdown offer clues and insight into the heroesâ motivations in the film.Â
For example, though she was an unwavering ally of Capâs in âThe Winter Soldier,â Black Widow finds herself siding with Tony Stark against Steve Rogers in âCivil Warâ in an attempt to âpick up pieces of her life.âÂ
The caption for Rhodey reveals that he has a third codename, having ditched War Machine and Iron Patriot. Instead, the character now goes by War Hammer, a name he has not used in the comics.Â
As for Bucky, the aforementioned Winter Soldier, actor Sebastian Stanâs quote teases, "Youâre always trying to guess what side he is on⌠because he can go both ways.â (X)

CACW Trailer
So that helicopter clip at the beginning has been kind of low key bugging me for a bit now, and I realized why.
See this? From D23;
Bucky in a cage.
These are from early on in the trailer, after the Marvel logo while Ross is talking;
Look at the cage in the back right where the red light is, multiple red lights, actually, since thereâs another on the left by the furthest left guard, and this weird, circular platform Ross is walking towards which could potentially be a ground elevator to go down, or it leads right up/across to Buckyâs cage (given that heâs in cell â23Ⲡthough (haha D23 I see what you did there potentially on accident/purpose), Buckyâs probs not on the first level of the complex).
My guess is, this is where they hold Bucky, whenever they catch him.
When Ross catches him, or Tony, from the looks of things (and maybe Zemo? ?? I wouldnât be surprised if Ross was working with Zemo and knows, or doesnât know, just who he is. I also think Martin Freeman is working with Zemo but I digress).
Just thought Iâd leave this here.
A Bucky-centric trailer breakdown of Captain America: Civil War.
Full disclosure, I was completely blindsided by the arrival of the new trailer for Captain America: Civil War and I am still recovering. :X Combining the counts from my YouTube playlist, iPad and iPhone Iâve watched it about 200 times, so now itâs time to speculate...
Iâve also seen the D23 trailer and revisited the Ant-Man post credits scene, so some of my references will come from them as well. Note that I will focus mainly on the parts related to Bucky Barnesâ storyline and details that show where each scene may be in the overall film.
Screencaps for you to enjoy. I am still screaming.Â

Fem âYoung Justiceâ Robin Cosplay - from a Captain America pattern!
This is the story of how I made a Robin costume from the Simplicity 1030 Captain America costume and the Simplicity 5840 Jedi Robe pattern. Fandoms collide!
Young Justice Robin is a spin on the iconic outfit with two important differences: no undies and no green! As a character on the Young Justice TV show, Robin was an athletic tech nerd, so he needed an outfit to match his personality.
Source: PhillyBee on Deviant Art
I started with the two patterns below as guidelines, using the elements I needed and then improvising the rest. For the Captain America outfit, I went with the smallest menâs size (6), which was a little big on me (womenâs size small in tops). Itâs panel based so easy to adjust though. The greatest thing about this costume is that it comes with a pattern for the pouches! I didnât use it this time due to time constraints, but definitely keeping that in my arsenal. The key thing to remember is that you donât need to use different colors for the panels, and that you can pin the stripes pattern pieces next to each other instead of cutting them out separately, which creates a two-paneled front instead of a striped front. Also, since Robinâs sleeves are black, I cut out two sets of the sleeve tops and layered them to make the top part red and the bottom part black.
For the robe, I used the basic robe pattern with no fabric overlay, but I made sure NOT to cut the arm hole part of the pattern. I cut two sets of the âyokeâ pattern piece and sewed them together to create the shoulders...luckily it worked!Â
In terms of fabric choices, the Captain America pattern is made for knits, so I went with a soft, red knit that felt like a thin sweatshirt. Iâll try to break down the amounts of fabric I used. I bought most of this at wholesale prices in my local fabric district...with some haggling:
Three yards of red knit - $8
Two yards of black fabric for cape (heavier, silky) - $4
Two yards of yellow fabric for cape lining (light, silky) -$4
Two yards of black silk knit or spandex  - $6 (or just buy some black leggings for $5, which is what I did).
One yard of yellow vinyl for belt and yellow strips - $4 (or if youâre pressed for time, you can get a Batman Utility Belt from Amazon).
Velcro, for the cape, zipper for the back, and a strip of 1.5âł black elastic for the front stripe - $5
Black felt or another more interesting fabric for the circle, yellow craft foam for the âRâ - $3
Accessories include gloves, boots, and mask - price will vary
All in All, I had a challenging but rewarding experience creating a Robin costume, canât wait to add more elements to it for future events!
