I heavily feel like people need to learn the difference being having headcanons for a character and straight up mischaracterization of a character 🫤

a prime example of this is Regulus black (no I do not support JKR in anyway. Plus the marauders lore was basically made from scrapes by teenagers). While we don’t get much info about the death eaters in the 70s over all, we do know just enough info about Regulus to make headcanons and things like that (which is amazing). Where the problem comes in is that people mischaracterize him as this soft misunderstood boy who was weak; however, in reality he was still a blood-supremacist, A LITERAL DEATH EATER, and a Voldemort fanboy. Headcanons would be more things like his interest, hobbies, or things that aren’t in the books/movies.— not changing information we know about his character.

(Yes I know that this is a non-issue. It is just a pet peeve of mine)
