✴️One day, two months ago, I thought, "What if Captain Barbossa were a parrot, what kind of parrot would he be? And the answer immediately came to me: "black"! Then I thought: "Yeah, great, then are there any varieties of black parrots?" The answer was found on the Internet: "Yes, black parrots exist!" I have identified two types of parrots for myself: the first is Banks' Mourning Cockatoo, this parrot has a face and a build like a white cockatoo, but the color is black; The second one is the "Black Cockatoo" (Palm Cockatoo). Its muzzle does not look at all like the muzzles of the well–known white cockatoos, the color is black, but the cheeks are bright red. Of these two, I chose the second option, since, in my opinion, the "Black Cockatoo" looks more piratical. He has a huge black pointed beak of 9 cm, which does not even close completely. Large body up to 80 cm, wingspan ~60 cm. And such birds have been living for about 90 years, they are very quick-witted and have a complex character. They live in the forests of Southeastern Australia.

Three months ago, I read an interview with actor Jeffrey Rush (by the way, he lives in Australia, haha), he played the role of Captain Barbossa. I found out from the interview that he was glad that his character was given a pet (Jack's monkey). But! They could have given me a parrot. But Mr. Rush was more pleased with the monkey than the parrot, as the presence of the monkey added an element of surprise to the image and actions of Captain Barbossa.
So...
My imagination began to actively work (fantasize) after mentioning the "parrot".At first I thought: "What if Captain Barbossa had a parrot instead of a monkey? Answer: – "A black pirate parrot, with a sharp beak, large prehensile claws and a majestic wingspan!."So I started looking for these parrots and found them. But then I found out that Palm cockatoos are very difficult to keep, and it turns out that a monkey is a very logical choice, as it adapts quickly, is agile and dexterous. At the same time, I had a thought that I wrote about earlier: "What if Captain Barbossa were a parrot?" And then I realized that all my searches had not been in vain. Captain Barbossa is a "Black Cockatoo" with a pirate's sharp beak, terrible prehensile claws and a majestic wingspan!!
