To Love

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be as far away from people who purposely don’t want to understand you and respect you, and are committed to judging you as harshly as they can.

You don’t need to be perfect or entirely healed to deserve love and care from others. Genuine growth cannot happen only in isolation: growth and awareness happen with new experiences. Relationships are meant to be mutually healing, caring, and supportive experiences. Don’t shrink back into yourself and promise that you’ll return to the world once you’re more healed or a “better” version of yourself. You deserve to be cared for, loved, and held close RIGHT NOW. Why? Because you’re a human being. You are part of a community and that is the goal of having one: loving you even when it is hard for you to love yourself.

Please do your best to get the rest you need, not the amount you think should be fine, but the amount you actually need. You deserve to recharge and you deserve comfort and understanding. It may not be fun having to get all that rest, but if you need it, you need it. Pushing through might work for some time, but it will not work forever. And the thing about rest, the longer you go without it, the more you will need when you actually do slow down. And picking when that is? Way better than having your body pick for you. 🌸
